Fabulous Italian Food in a family atmosphere

My wife and I had dinner here, we started with cocktails, she getting a lemon chello martini and a Italian Margarita for me. Both were different and delicious! We next enjoyed bruschetta and Ceasar Salad, both having very fresh ingredients. Our main meals were eggplant parmigiana and eggplant towers respectively, both having outrageously tasting sauces. The wait staff was very professional and worked as a team to meet every demand!

The kindest and most delicious food in the area!

I adored my experience at Trattoria La Festa, where we were treated like family. After a day of skiing, we went to this restaurant because it was near our hotel. We were immediately greeted by the two co-owners (a husband and wife pair) who thoughtfully checked on us during the meal. The menu is expansive, with fresh pastas, meats, fish, and an array of enticing appetizers. Better yet, very main dish comes with a delicious side ceasar salad which is well seasoned and made with crunchy and flavorful lettuce. We had the mushroom ravioli and veal medallions - both were excellently flavored, served quickly and paired with great sides. The dessert menu is enormous and I fully regret not indulging. The wine list was accessible and well suited to the menu, and our server was ready to guide us through it. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for anyone in the Stowe region!

Delicious food in a warm and cosy atmosphere

Delicious food in a warm and cosy atmosphere. We ate here on New Years Eve, the host Tony was friendly & welcoming and the staff were helpful and attentive without being overbearing. We ate the Lobster Ravioli and the Veal Chop on Tony’s recommendation and both were absolutely delicious. To be honest there were plenty of delicious sounding dishes on the menu and it was hard to choose! Thoroughly recommended

An Italian “gem” in the Green mountains!

We were greeted on the porch by Tony( owner) who led us to a lovely table with paintings displayed by local artists along the walls. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The Caesar salad was fabulous! ( my son said he should have ordered seconds). The waitperson made helpful suggestions for pasta types for each dish. They were absolutely delicious!! We ARE coming back !!

Excellent meals & staff!

This was our first visit to Trattoria La Festa, but won't be our last! The staff was attentive & the meals were wonderful! My husband ordered the veal chop & I had the veal marsala. Both were outstanding! The servings were generous & we left with a shopping bag of leftovers. The tables were well-spaced apart & we felt very comfortable eating there.

My parents had recommended this place and I am so glad they did, their wine selection was creative, the salmon was wonderful and per the recommendation of the staff, the lemon cello pie was perfection. For a solo traveler, the waitstaff remembered my name, was wonderfully attentive, and treated me like I was part of the family. Can’t wait to go back!

Exceptionally Fresh and Outstanding Staff

The staff really seemed to care about the challenges of making reservations on our first night and found us a spot on the porch. We were so impressed we returned days later with our larger group. The food is exceptionally fresh and the portions just right. This was not a cheap meal, but we all thought the food and staff experience made it well worth it- A good value.

The best italian food.

Quite possibly the best italian food we've ever had. I booked our reservations for 10/14 a full month in advance and they were already limited in availability (book early!). That morning the chef sent me a text saying there was a 16 person waitlist and to confirm my reservation. You can see how popular it is just from that! The ambiance inside was charming. We were greeted immediately upon entering and brought to our table. The decor was so homey and warm. We got the mussels & blue cheese as an appetizer, and for entrees carbonara & chicken parm. My chicken was so tender I could cut into it with my fork. The portions were MASSIVE and we would have had plenty to bring home if we weren't traveling. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert after how large our dinner was. 10/10 recommend. Its been 3 weeks since we were there and still talk about how good it was.

We visit Stowe from RI three to four times a year and our #1 priority is dinner at Trattoria La Festa. Bar none, our favorite place for the past 15 years. Always great quality, great service, delicious meals and delightful desserts. Thanks Tony and Patty for all you do to make every meal special!

Excellent, Authentic Italian Food

Highly recommend! We had the most wonderful dining experience. The owner, Tony, greeted us at the door. He was friendly and guided us to our quaint private table on the porch overlooking Mt Mansfield. Where we were treated to a gorgeous sunset. The server Michael added to the exceptional experience. He was prompt and friendly. The food was absolutely outstanding the chicken Parmesan was fresh and delicious. The Caesar salad was amazing and dressed perfectly with it’s homemade dressing. Don’t miss the homemade decadent chocolate indulgence dessert with whipped cream, decorated with a devine truffle and ice-cream. Love and we will be back.

Very Bad Food.

This was not Italian food. manicotti was all large pieces of chorizo and no ricotta cheese. The risotto had no similarity to risotto and a very bitter bad tasting dish. We did not eat our dinners and told the waiter exactly what the problem was, we were very nice about it, but not offered a discount or anything at all.

Was not overwhelmed by the food

Despite a reservation we couldn't get a seat outside on the porch which was a shame. The inside is dark and with no one else sitting inside, it just felt a bit depressing. I got the chicken and it was surrounded by every vegetable known to man, all mixed together which made an unpleasant look (and sort of messed with the taste too). My husbands pasta was just ok, he didn't rave about it. Service was pleasant though and staff very nice.

Hi I am sorry we could not satisfy you but we refuse to compete with Olive Garden and Carrabas obviously. You could not get a table outside because the porch was filled with loyal customers that come every week, they love our food, and the realize we are still in the PANDEMIC Mode. Amen Tony

Everything was great

We had a hard time getting a reservation for dinner during vacation week and ended up getting a reservation at Trattoria La Festa. This turned out to have been a great thing. The food was amazing, we were there with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and everyone loved their food. Even though we were already full from the huge portions, we ended up getting desert, which was equally great. Definitely expensive, but well worth it.

Good food, wine disappointing

Very good food with good portions. I had eggplant Parmesan and husband had manicotti special with cheese, duck and chorizo filling. Both entrees came with good Ceasar salad and yummy green beans. Hubby had beer and I had a $15 glass of Chianti Classico reserva which was not good. I was surprised since they have big wine list and very pricey for a glass.

We have been coming to Trattoria La Festa for many, many years, and our visit this time did not disappoint. From bread to salads, main meals to deserts, everything was excellent! And the service was outstanding! Owners Tony and Patty made us feel like we were having dinner in their home, along with our server we were basked with attention. We most certainly will be back!
