The food was bland, bland and blander. The rice was undercooked. The margarita was so bad that I had to ask the waiter if they forgot to put alcohol in it, and she was nice enough to take it back to bartender and they added something but still barely any alcohol. The restaurant itself was nice and the staff seemed... More

We stopped in while staying across the street at The Snowdrift Motel. The food at Cactus was good, traditional Tex-Mex, with a little Vermont flair. We had tacos and burritos and they were good. Nothing was outstanding, but the service was good, and food filled our bellies and we were happy.

WOW. We were here 5 years ago and never stopped talking about it. Went this past weekend and loved it again, fantastic tilapia tacos, chicken mole dish great, and don't miss the housemade Jalapeno Poppers or Jalapeno Margarita. Lovely atmosphere, good service....just go!

I am not a Mexican food lover but my husband is. We had dinner at Cactus last night and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the baja shrimp dish. My husband had a rib dish and he enjoyed his. Not to mention the owner is super friendly and fun. The price is also very reasonable in Stowe standard. Will... More

We had a nice dinner there for our family of four. The entree's are what you would expect. It had a locally run feel to it and the staff was friendly.

This is one of the few spots we eat at when we visit Stowe but this time did not leave the best impression... We called to make a reservation (note that they don't open until 4:30) and we were told that if we arrived by 5:30 they could serve us. We arrived well in advance of that 5:30pm window and... More

The cute little town of Stowe really doesn't have any chain restaurants so I would say this compares to a Chilis. Good house margarita, fresh guac made daily, and good fajitas.

I said after eating at Frieda's in Stowe a few years ago I vowed I would never eat Mexican in Vermont again, but people said this place was good and we caved and came here as a group one night. I should I have stuck to my guns, because while marginally better than Frieda's (which is now thankfully and rightfully... More
