Had the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries & a beer. Food was very good and atmosphere was great. They have live music during ski season. Dining room or bar seating. They have a wood fired pizza oven.

We were staying at the Northern Lights Lodge nearby. There weren't many restaurant choices available at the time, but glad we found this place. I had the sushi bowl, which was delicious. There was a variety of other interesting menu choices for a pub.

Fun pub atmosphere with excellent food like burgers, pizza, salads, beer, music, pool tables located at the bottom of the hill leading up to Mount Mansfield. The staff is super friendly and the burgers are great. Toby Keith would love this bar; like I do .

Really tired and in need of a good scrubbin. Basic pub fare. Good service. Decent food. Doesn't inspire confidence in cleanliness but we did ok

Through the years we have been to Matterhorn dozens of times but have never been disappointed until this visit. On a Friday night in early June I called for takeout and was put on hold (phone laid on the bar) for 15 minutes until I finally hung up. Two of my friends drove down and ordered and it took almost... Not my first time at this bar bistro and it will not be my last. You get good food, which includes sushi in the menu selections. Service does not lag behind. There is not a large selection of eateries in Stowe but you should not skip this one during your visit to town.

We for dinner, with friends and family most ordered steak some pasta and sushi. Their steak is delish just a bit pricey, I think it was $28. Their Mac and cheese with lobster is also very delicious! The kids had pizza and also very delicious! But their sushi was not good at all! I usually don't order sushi if it's... More

Oddly enough, this is a local bar that serves really god sushi. Bartenders were great and attentive. What really puzzles me is how they make this amazing sushi in this bar setting. I've learned don't question it and just roll. I will be picking up some sushi tomorrow before I leave. Def stop by this place!

The food was delightful, service superb and the view was awesome. Be sure to sit on the quaint patio by the river. Also, don't forget to try the Matterhorn sushi. Yum!!

Hi Neil, It is undeniable that The Matterhorn has one of the top sushi chefs in the Northeast. He graduated from The South Korean Traditional cooking school and improved his sushi skills working in Japan, Russia, Germany and The UAE. He was the top sushi chef at Neta's ( rival of Nobu's) in NYC when we hired him. Obviously a chef of his skills will only work in a profeshional kitchen with top ingredients. Our pizzas are made from scratch and cooked in a wood fired oven the way they do it in Italy. We wouldn't even consider a convection oven. Our wings might be the best in the USA. Our steaks and burgers are all angus beef. My wife personally expedited all the food yesterday which feed over 600 customers. None of it took longer than 25 minutes. Our servers are the most highly paid in Stowe so we get the cream of the crop. I have owned The Matterhorn 17 years and we have always had a modest cover charge whenever we have a full band. We have a season pass to our live entertainment which costs $25 so that you will not have to pay any cover charges. We believe that establishments that don't charge covers for full bands or give away food are really just pleading to get customers in and embarrass themselves in our business community. . We have Greg Allman's son Michael performing here on Jan 16th along with Grammy award wining Charles Neville and award winning guitartist Jeff Pitchell. I can assure you that my wife and I couldn't be more proud of how The Matterhorn has evolved and of all the great people that frequent it. We find your comments both unfounded and hurtful.
