I have been here many times and it has not let me down but this week it was awful! The service was the worst I have ever experienced in Vermont! The waitress was so rude and ignored us and then got angry when challenged. Her service and the experience that resulted was up there in my worst customer service experiences... More

Good vibe, nice crowd. Not too rowdy but fun. There was a band playing Friday so we paid a $5 cover charge. Food was hit or miss. The burrata salad wasn't good at all, but the cheesesteak hit the spot. Many good microbrews on tap. We'll definitely go back next time we are in Stowe.

We took our niece and her BF there last evening for Sushi and had a great time and the Sushi was fabulous as always and the presentation was gorgeous! We also had the new fish tacos That were tasty and have changed from fried to fresh cod and my nieces bf lived his burger. Fun place to go apres ski,... More

Came here with hubby to get some good ol pub food ~ buffalo chicken wings and pizza was perfect . I ate most of the buffalo chicken wings , not your typical gooey sauce buffalo wings which I prefer. Apparently this is a popular apres ski place. Sells popular Vermont microbrews.

It's not easy to do it all and maybe that's what was going on. Was in with a party of 10 - 12 and we ordered everything from Sushi to Sliders. I split up a dish and had some maki rolls and they were good. Didn't rock my world, but they were solid. One member of the party picked out... More

Ate there on the recommendation of the concierge. He was correct. The food and desert were outstanding.

My family and friends love this place - it's become a bit of a tradition to have dinner here at least once during our annual Vermont ski trip. We always order the pizzas and they offer a great variety to suit children, vegetarians, and meat-loving adults. The atmosphere is really fun - sometimes live music, lively crowd, pool tables, game... More

Thank goodness the waitstaff and meal was good because we were greeted by a grumpy , rude , man! He should not be the hostess and has no right treating people the way he treated us . If we were not meeting friends we would of never stayed ! I'm glad we did , but would hesitate going back because... More

Everything we ordered (with a large group) was excellent - the service was a little challenged but really nice about it. Perfect for aprés ski.

We stopped by during Christmas weekend and from the outside, the place doesn't look like much. However, we had a great time while there and couldn't have asked for a better spot. The beer is great and the food was solid when we where there. I also really liked how the kids could relax, play video games and relax without... More

Hi Neil, It is undeniable that The Matterhorn has one of the top sushi chefs in the Northeast. He graduated from The South Korean Traditional cooking school and improved his sushi skills working in Japan, Russia, Germany and The UAE. He was the top sushi chef at Neta's ( rival of Nobu's) in NYC when we hired him. Obviously a chef of his skills will only work in a profeshional kitchen with top ingredients. Our pizzas are made from scratch and cooked in a wood fired oven the way they do it in Italy. We wouldn't even consider a convection oven. Our wings might be the best in the USA. Our steaks and burgers are all angus beef. My wife personally expedited all the food yesterday which feed over 600 customers. None of it took longer than 25 minutes. Our servers are the most highly paid in Stowe so we get the cream of the crop. I have owned The Matterhorn 17 years and we have always had a modest cover charge whenever we have a full band. We have a season pass to our live entertainment which costs $25 so that you will not have to pay any cover charges. We believe that establishments that don't charge covers for full bands or give away food are really just pleading to get customers in and embarrass themselves in our business community. . We have Greg Allman's son Michael performing here on Jan 16th along with Grammy award wining Charles Neville and award winning guitartist Jeff Pitchell. I can assure you that my wife and I couldn't be more proud of how The Matterhorn has evolved and of all the great people that frequent it. We find your comments both unfounded and hurtful.
