This restaurant opened in Dec. 2019. As regulars to Stowe this was a newbie to us which we spotted while driving up to the mountain - so we thought why not? We were staying in the Golden Eagle which is easy walking distance - but...we drove !! The decor is simple, and quiet, even when full the background noise will be minimal, not enough to interfere with conversation. One of my major probs with restaurants. The staff are very attentive without being obvious - any changes to the menu they will happily oblige. The food, outstanding. I had lobster mac & cheese. It was fabulous. It probably had more lobster in it that most lobsters I have eaten?. Rob had the scallops as a starter- again a generous portion, there were 6 scallops that were large and cooked perfectly The mains were steaks which were cooked as requested - and a generous size. We didn't have desserts just coffee/brandy. I cannot recommend this restaurant to highly. Its a must go too.More

My husband and I had no idea that this was a new restaurant for Stowe - although I gather it's been popular in St Albans... We had an excellent meal!! We shared a caesar salad (dressing on the side) - very fresh and the dressing...was delish. But most important was the fish. It is a seafood place after all... For me, it's so important not to overcook the fish. I had salmon; my husband had the scallops. In both cases, the fish was cooked to perfection!! The salmon was very tender and still salmon-coloured in the center. Husband's scallops (which were huge!!) were also perfectly cooked - still very soft in the center. WOW!! We were very happy with our dinners and told the staff/chef. If you go, I hope you like it as much as we did.More

We really enjoyed this restaurant! The staff was friendly and attentive. Our meals were excellent - the seafood was prepared perfectly. The sea scallops, seafood pasta, and stuffed haddock were amazing. The portions were generous, and the prices reasonable. A great addition to Stowe!

This place is THE best. From sitting at the bar and chatting to Analina and watching her amazing cocktail skills to being taken to our seat by the lovely Anna and then being served by the team (definitely have to mention Leopold and Dave) we...just had the best time at Jeffs. And that's not even beginning to talk about chef James' delicious food. We spent the week staying right next door and could not convince ourselves to go anywhere else because we just had everything we could wish for right in one place. Thanks to the team for taking such good care of us. Ps. try the scallops!More

In a town full of great restaurants comes a exciting new addition! We loved our meal tonight - a basket of home baked sage biscuits to start followed by chilled oysters, stuffed potato skins, spinach and yellow beet chèvre salad, steak frites, grilled swordfish with...a perfect sauce, and bacon wrapped scallops. And our server was attentive and very personable! We can’t wait to go back.More

Jeff's has brought its seafood expertise to Stowe at the Gray Fox Inn and we are lucky for it. Our family had a very good dinner here over the Christmas holiday when the restaurant had been open only a short time. The room is pretty...with a New England colonial feel and the seafood dishes were good quality. Service could have been better, as it seemed only two servers were handling the entire busy evening and some items were delayed in arriving at the table, but overall we had a very nice experience and look forward to returning.More

My wife and I have been eating at Jeff's in St Albans for many years. In fact, it was our first date restaurant. Very romantic and excellent in every way. That's why we were happy to hear that they opened another site in Stowe, as...we now live closer. It was a great first experience. They had just opened 3 weeks prior but everything was well organized and exceptional. We stuck to their nameplate.... seafood. The escargot appetizers was inventive to the plus side. I was never a fan of in the shell as they don't come that way. But this Jeff's took it a bit further in that they didn't use the conventional plate either. They blended the butter and cheese in to a single, delicious sauce. Then poured it over the escargot in a single bowl. Wonderful and easy to eat! Our entrees were also well prepared with eye appealing presentation to boot. And definitely try dessert. We had a maple bread pudding that was perfect Vermont. Service was also exceptional. Attentive without over fawning. The wine list was also well varied. Which brings up the bar area. We showed up early and found the bartender and ambiance very cozy and welcoming. Great place just for drinks, meeting friends or waiting for a table. We look forward to many more visits.More

We ate at Jeff's Seafood in Stowe twice this past week. We loved the food, the menu, the service and the simple beauty of the dining room. It is definitely a great addition to Stowe dining choices.
