I have been eating at Al's since I was a kid & I never switch from ordering the pizza burger -- I enjoy it too much to try anything else !

I didn't actually try the french fries, but we got ice cream from the window outside (soft serve and hard ice cream) and am so glad we did. it was delicious! There's a nice little area to sit outside with your ice cream, too.

The double hamburger was not even as good as a McDonald's burger. The fries are just so so and there is not much to recommend this place.

The burgers are very small. Fries are good but very greasy. And not cheap ... a meal for 4 is at least 35 USD.

Great burgers and sweet potato fries. And of course the creemies. It gets very crowded so allow time to wait in line. It is well worth it!

I love ALS. When I return to Vermont I always make a point of taking my kids there. It's a classic American 60s restaurant and there's nothing else like it. Don't ever change ALS.

4 pc.Fried chicken and french fries were very good. The chicken pieces were a Lil small but very tasty. The fries are to die with cheese on the side for dipping. Def. Worth the stop. Plus you have ice-cream for desert.

It looks like a 50's diner outside, but inside just a huge queue and no table service. Staff were not particularly friendly, and shocked when I asked them to replace something we ordered that was clearly burned. Then there's the moment of realisation where you...More

The old diner feel is real and makes you feel like a step back in time, but of course Al's has been in South Burlington a while. Food was great. Philly cheese steak was one of the best around and of course the fries were...More
