G'son wanted Hibachi so we decided to try Koto for lunch. We arrived just before 2 and they close at 2:30 so we worried a bit about what kind of welcome we might get. We should not have worried. If they had offered steamed white rice as an option I would have given them 5 stars. The sirloin was excellent,... More

Although my husband is not a fan of Japanese cuisine, he agreed to accompany our son and me to KOTO. He was very pleased with the food. Our calamari and salmon crab cake appetizers were both very well cooked and surprisingly large. We actually had left overs. I especially liked the calamari because it was so tender. In addition, we... More

In my 16 years in Vermont, I don't think any dining experience rivaled the ones I had at Koto. The hibachi meals are definitely dinner and a show, and the chefs are fun, funny, and so skilled that it is highly impressive. The sushi and other non-hibachi foods are always equally delectable and the drinks I have had have always... More

This is a good place to go with a group or for hibachi. If you are just craving a sushi fix, it would not be my first choice.

Went to this restaurant at the recommendation of friends. Ordered tempura bento and sirloin/shrimp from the Teppanyaki. The tempura are not fresh tasting. My friends left it mostly untouched. My Teppanyaki sirloin are well done and tough, despite I ordered Medium. The fried rice and the meats are soaked in sauce that are very salty. So can't finish the plate.... More

Easy to accommodate larger groups. Sit back and enjoy the show at the hibachi table and catch the veggie! It's a fun one and the food was excellent!

This was our second visit to Koto and will be our last. The only reason we ate here was due to a 1-1/2 hour wait at our first choice of restaurant and no wait at Koto, and we found out why - mediocre food. The service was very good - prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was just average, lacking... More

We ate on a weeknight so the wait was not long at all, a few minutes, tops... The service was good, friendly waitress and interactive chef. They do have yum-yum sauce (something I have only found missing at a hibachi place once in Ft. Lauderdale). The food wasn't the best in the world, but it wasn't bad really. The only... More

First of all this place is not world class or near the likes of the Benihana steak houses so we didn't expect much. The hibachi chef was entertaining as he went through the usual knife throws and clanking with his various cooking utensils. Same shows each night. Octopus appetizer swimming in awful nasty sauce with mushrooms so it was sent... More
