Hands down the best burger and fish and chips these travelers have had in ages! Plus our friendly waitress made great recommendations for beer and cider, all with her super friendly smile. We’ll be back.

Had a delightful supper here after a long day of traveling. Our very busy server kept a big smile on her face and brought joy to the table. Salads were fresh, the filet was made special by the bacon jam, and the lemon raspberry cake...was creamy and tangy. We loved the upbeat vibe and the music choices, too!More
Plus... good service staff, varied menu, not a long wait time for order. Minus... no waiting area for customers before being seated.
30 of us on Road Scholar trip. Absolutely delicious. Peach Hot Toddy on a rainy day. Chocolate bomb to die for. We had the huge turkey club & Budda bowl. Others enjoyed their choices also👍👍👍👍👍
We stopped here for takeout. We had wings, burgers, mushroom fries, salads, etc. The wings with salt & vinegar rub were so terrible we couldn’t eat them. The smelled nasty and there it the rub was heavy is some areas, none in others. Their rub...was far too salty. The breaded mushroom fries were also too salty. They also forgot the salad dressings. I can say that they know how to ruin food. Will not be eating here again.More
Went during covid. Opened at 12, was there at . Sat outside. First ones after a take out. Service was fast. Waitress was nice. Just got sandwiches. Not to expensive.
We've stopped here for dinner 3 or 4 times. The hamburgers are OK, but just about everything is average or below average. Can't recommend it.
The service has been declining over the last year. Last night was the last time I ever go back. My wife and I walk in, it’s busy but no line. I look at the hostess and say we are a party of 4 and she...responds sharply, “I have nothing”. Ok, I usually expect to wait when a restaurant is busy, but she made zero effort to welcome us and suggest I get a drink at the bar while we wait for a table. We walked out and had a fine meal a mile down the road. Get it together Tap House...don’t bite the Shelburne hand that feeds YOU!More
Went here on recommendation of hotel. Restaurant is in strip mall, so what. Inside is inviting & has dynamic bar area. Seating OK. Service bit slow. Average bar food. Was OK, nothing bad, don't understand the rave reviews. OK once, but we would not bother...to go back.More
We almost didn’t walk in. Although the name of the place sounds promising, we got there, and I was dismayed to see it’s in a strip mall. He was like “Do you want to turn around and go somewhere else?” But we were hungry so...we went in, and MAN what a great decision! The wings are really fantastic as a starter, crispy and really meaty, and the sauces; Devine. The garlic parm was exceptional— not too greasy, just perfect. Their Tortoiseshell label Cabernet by the glass was absolutely delicious! And it’s a pub, so they should do burgers and pub style sandwiches really well. And they SO do! The chicken and pimento cheese sandwich is literally in the top 5 chicken sandwiches of my life. Thinly sliced house-made pickles, and the cheese, and the huge piece of chicken breast fried to perfection. WOW! I Never eat fried food, but this was worth the indulgence. It comes with housemade chips. No boring wavy store-bought chips here.. These were so good, that I didn’t feel the need to steal a French fry from the hub—which he was happily wolfing down and jealously guarding ANYWAY. Best housemade potatoe chips I have EVER had. My advice; put Irish Nachos on the menu with those chips as the base! YUM! Lastly, but no less important OR appreciated; Sammy was our delightful server! She was knowledgeable about the menu, and offered advice on a few things which was Spot on! And she was the perfect level of attentive. Overall a phenomenal experience. Can’t wait to go again! ❤️More
We got to Shelburne late in the evening and stopped at the Tap House for a late bite - we were looking up restaurants that stayed open late (they close at 10pm). The place looks like a typical bar-type restaurant, TVs with sports events playing,...bar by the front door. Decor inside was very cute, quite casual. And then we got the menu. I was expecting burgers and fries and while they do have those, they have quinoa bowls of varying types and a poke salad with a 5 grain base and poutine and salmon and lobster rolls. Phenomenal. Their wine list is excellent and they offer local beers on draft and in bottles. We got a glass of this rose cider that was more like a rose champagne. Our waitress was friendly and cheerful, even though we got there at 9:00pm. I would love to go there again - and try the Cauliflower "Wings" or the Creole Jambalaya. I had the Aloha Poke Bowl & 5 Grain Medley - excellent fresh ahi tuna, pickled ginger, avocado and a list of great ingredients. Maybe I should get the Lobster and Short Rib Ravioli next... Honestly, the menu was awesome. They also have gluten free and vegetarian/vegan. Another member of my party got the bow tie pasta special with chicken and a gorgonzola sauce. And "sausage" that tasted like sausage. We also got the fish & chips special that was excellent. I will definitely go back!More
We read the reviews of the great clam chowder and we were not disappointed! The appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was both unusual and excellent! The night we were there was Taco Tuesday and we enjoyed the Tacos as well!
I'd give it a 5, but the location is a bit odd as it's off busy Shelburne Rd. in a tiny strip mall and is easy to pass by. Service is good and they do get packed as it seems to becoming more and more...locally popular. They do what they do well and are worth checking out for sure.More
Tap House is not a large place and it is busy most of the time. There's a bar and a nice mixture of regular and high tables for small and large groups. It's a nice atmosphere and some TVs at the bar. The menu has...several excellent choices ranging in prices. Good beer selection. Many decent entrees. Plenty of parking. The food is very good with large portions. We'll go back again.More
We got there, the staff was really nice. I asked for 2 beer samples, which the waiteress was happy accomadate me, my girlfriend had the French sauvignon blanc. I took the Two Road IPA, it was amazing, the wine was good as well. My girlfriend...had the garden salad with chicken, and I had the harvest cobb salad (with goat cheese instead of the gorgonzola). Everything was good, but I didn’t get bacon in my cobb salad. The waiteress was really comprehensive and reduced the bill for the inconvenience. All in all, we had a good time.More
