We were planning a trip to Shelburne so I searched for restaurants and found The Bearded Frog. We were thrilled with this restaurant. I had the steak sandwich and my husband had the haddock. Both were excellent. We would definitely go back if we're in the area.

We hadn't been to the "Frog" in years. Sat at the bar and had a nice server, food was good, appetizers better than the mains. Nothing wrong here but also nothing spectacular.

I live in Shelburne and this is a favorite local haunt, last night's visit was one of many, and the first time I have been disappointed. Although they did, when I questioned the issue, rectify the situation. I ordered a non alcoholic mojito and was charged double the price of what I was charged the last time I ordered the... More

We were met by a warm intelligent hostess who helped orient us to menu favorites like the lemongrass haddock. Beautifully presented, complex flavours for starters and mains. No room for dessert but those sounded equally delicious.

Beautiful atmosphere! Amazing food. Unique menu. Everything is locally purchased for their menu. Great service. Somewhat pricey but understandably because it is all local. Very special little find. Will visit again next time we're in Vermont.

A lucky suggestion by the Inn Keepers at our favorite Bed and Breakfast - Heart of the Village. Do try the calamari. A meal in itself!

Great place to enjoy a burger and the Caledonian Cup cocktail, either at the bar or one of the outdoor tables

menu sounds great on paper. wanted to try everything. had parsnip apple bisque that was luke warm and as thick as homemade applesauce. venison cigars were good. burgers too big and came out round like meatballs although cooked as requested. burgers with toppings came to $20. ( I recommend Archies for burgers). Chicken satler was good...$23. Chocolate dessert shake not... More

Being seated at the bar as we hadn't made reservations, was not an issue as the bar manager, Celia, was great! The sangria was one of the best I've had and the choices of Vermont beers were great. We really enjoyed the build your own Bearded Frog Burger and the fixings accompanying it. The English Chef I dined with, rated... More

The food was good, and they make an excellent black and tan. Some items seemed pricy, but were much more affordable compared to other local places.
