Harringtons was recommended by the staff at the Shelburne Museum after we found that their cafe was closed for the season. They described it as a great place for kids, with easy counter service. I would say this is not the case. It's actually a specialty food shop with a few small tables which were very crowded. The whole experience... More

I was not greeted upon arrival, though two people could have said "hello" even, just to be cordial. Then I am asked for my order and when I ask questions it was a solid "no" from the brown short haired lady working the deli. Then!!! My to go sandwich turns out to be wrong! I ordered a turkey bacon with... More

The ham smell as you walk through the door is so delightful! They have many interesting food items for sale. We ended up getting a ham sandwich with all the trimmings. It was very good. Definitely a place worth stopping at!

Love picking up sandwiches here, chips, a drink, one of those great homemade desserts, and then off to a picnic/trip. Many interesting food items if looking for a gift. Clean, large bathrooms as well.

Great coffee tea and sandwiches. The smoked and cured meats are outstanding. Great service and a really nice of the road pit stop.

I have been going to Harrington's since I was probably four. It's old school all the way, but their spiral ham and their cob smoked bacon is second to none. I probably had my 200th BLT there last week. Basic. Delicious. Straight up.

I'm not one to normally give bad reviews- but our experience here sucked. While the food is with out a doubt lovely and reasonably priced- the service is pretty awful. We came in as visitors looking for something good and local- we were looking to spend some money. The woman that served us just didn't care. She couldn't be bothered... More

You can stop by and have a sandwich and eat it at one of the handful of tables or you can buy a smoked turkey breast or a ham, bacon or ready made quiches, mustards, crackers and other gourmet items to take home. Compared to other places that smoke meats in Vermont, this is the best by far. Unfortunately, the... More

This place, despite being on the other side of the Atlantic, is a go-to place for me. But on my latest trip something had changed. The chili! What happened?! Tell me honestly, Harringtons - did you change the recipe? Place still smelt as good always, though.

The sandwich was good and the chowder very good, although it seemed to be a bit pricier than necessary. Lots of options for gifts and fine food to take home with you!
