Moldy salad, average food, slow service, poor attitude. Still, we didn't die, and were hungry. Avoid, if possible. Come back for a cone.

ArchDC74, we hope you brought this to our attention, we want to know when this happens. Please email us at michael@archiesgrill.com. And don't avoid us, let us do better. Have a great cone.
We had lunch at Archie's Grill today. We were told there would be a 30-35 minute wait but it was closer to 45. My wife loved her food. I found the food too salty. There was a nice variety on the menu and the prices...were reasonable. Would probably go elsewhere next time in the area.More
The food is all fast food type - hotdogs, hamburgers and fish sandwiches in various forms,e.g.cheeseburgers. Siides include French fries, pickles, etc. ; cold and hot drinks are available. The food choices are ordered and then a call to you cell phone alerts you when...to pick up. The food is very good and reasonable in price. There is limited inside seating but plenty outside and it is far enough from the highway to be enjoyable. We enjoyed our lunch prior to heading back home to Connecticut. We would recommend Archie’s if you are looking for casual food at a reasonable price.More
Second time we have been there and turned away saying 40 min wait😳 seriously for burgers? So no idea what they taste like, not going to try again.
We were looking forward to a great burger. What we got were 3 terrible, dry, overcooked burgers. When we made the order we specified that my daughter had a dairy allergy and the chips were coated in a powder cheese. Our hotel was 5 minutes...from the restaurant but the food was ice cold when we ate it.More
Murray, please let us know what time you were in, we’d like to find your order and refund it as we do want all our customers to be satisfied. We are sorry that your experience was less than that.
We stopped here for lunch before a long drive. We found the food (burger and caesar salad) to be quite good. Things were made to order, so it took a little time.
We live in Vermont and have dined a few times at Archie's. Our early experiences were good. A bit pricey but good and nice atmosphere. But, our last visit was horrible. Prices have gone way up. A child's hot dog and chips is 6.49 and...no drink! Add a drink and it is 9.00. Chicken fingers and chips, no drink is 8.99! Forget the adult menu. 10.99 for a pre-formed, always well done, small, small burger and again, no fries but chips. If you want fries it is not an up charge but a completely separate side order at 3.49. You are paying roughly 15.00 for a hamburger and fries of no special qualities and 18.00 for a speciality burger and fries! You place your order and you pick it up and you clean up after yourself so no service of any kind but you are paying top, top prices. And, a big money grab which I am sure most people miss. Although, it is up on there sign but easily overlooked. If you are using a credit or debit card then there is an upcharge of 3%. The prices listed are for cash only:-( Very disapointed and way to expensive for families. A family of 4 was just under 60.00, for 2 cheese burgers with fries and 1 kids burger with fries and 1 kids hot dog with fries. 4 small drinks.More
We just wanted to address a few points. Our burger is fresh LaPlatte Angus beef from Shelburne. It is not preformed and it is delivered fresh from the farm. but it is less fat and can sometimes shrink up. And our handcut, fresh fries are...More
Terrible salad, burger had no flavor, we got the wrong chicken sandwich. The mozzarella sticks were cold and the marinara To dip Just came from the fridge. Everything was terrible!
Where do I start? Only giving it 1 star because I have to. The burgers are not made of Angus beef. The burger patty was so small and extremely dry. No flavor. The chili dog had maybe a tablespoon of chili and was tasteless. The...hot dog itself was below average. When your buns are bigger then the hot dog or hamburger patti that’s a problem. The fries and the chips were really good though. VERY pricey!!! $55 for 3 meals. Good thing we were passing through because we would never go back. Sorry guys And the cook has a crappy attitude. Learn to mouth off to your employees when people are not in your presence.More
First, we are sorry that your one experience with us was less than satisfactory. Not how we like visitors to feel when they leave. We wish we were given the opportunity to make this better while you were here. Our beef is indeed local Angus....More
It might have been the few beers we had in town ;) but their mozzarella sticks, chips, burgers and French fries were awesome!! They even had a drive thru.
Ha. Well, thank you for your positive review! We like to think our burgers are awesome at any time! We hope you come again soon!
You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. It is a family friendly restaurant and reasonably priced. If you’re in the area Archie’s is a must see and taste.
Sorry for the late response but we wanted to thank you for the positive review!
Spent the day at the Shelburne Museum and we were looking for something near the museum that was affordable. Great chicken special and my co-diner had a terrific steak sandwich and a milkshake. Self-serve keeps the prices down and the food, primarily burgers, is delicious....Good family place.More
Sorry for the late response but we wanted to thank you non the less! We appreciate the positive review!
After a very tiring day spent at the nearby Shelburne Museum, the helpful staff there suggested we might enjoy a burger and beer at Archies. It is a very casual place where you stand in line to order your meal and then come pick it...up a short time later. Our burgers were tasty, juicy, hot and delicious. I would recommend this to everyone!!!More
Thank you for your positive review even if the thanks are a bit delayed! We are so pleased you liked your dinner!
On our way home from St.Albans we were looking for a place for a bite to eat. While I agree with a previous comment about the burger to bun ration, my Village Burger was cooked to perfection. Juicy and medium. Homemade chips rounded out the...meal. Husband’s Horseradish burger was excellent. He could smell the horseradish as soon as he picked up our burgers at the window - which he likes it when that happens. Very goodMore
Thank you for your review...Our fresh local beef can shrink more at times than others, but we are so pleased that you came to visit!
This is a good burger joint. I was just surprised the burgers were so much smaller than the buns. My meat to bread ratio was way off. The food was tasty, but we did have quite a wait to get them.
