Loved having appetizers and dinner on the front wrap around porch at Saxon's River Inn. Service was excellent and the food was nice. The bar has a cool, laid back vibe, and the bartender is the best. Eliza was a delightful hostess (just like her folks up at their AirBnB place in Westminster).

Should you find yourself in Saxons River, you will find good food and nice folks at the inn. Nice selection of Vt beer, lots of outdoor seating, and a menu ranging from burger to tofu stack to rack of lamb. I had chicken piccata, my dinner mates had salmon and tofu stack -- both were happy.

This was our first time here. There is the Pub and the Outdoor Garden; we ate in the dining room which is white tablecloths in a pleasant, relaxed setting. My wife said the duck was among the best she has ever had, fresh, not gamy, not dry, really just perfect. I had the filet mignon which was very good but... More

The Saxtons River Inn gives you an authentic feeling of a New England hotel and restaurant. There is a dining room area and a bar area with a fire place, which is quite cosy and where the local meets. The food is good, you can find local beers and the service is friendly. Only the large screen sports TV in... More

Our first dinner in Saxton's River was at the Inn for a family reunion. There were 12 of us and the inn accommodated us quite nicely. The food was very good as were the drinks and wine. I would recommend the Inn for dinner any time.

Sit on the porch of this pretty inn with a gin and tonic and experience the quiet pleasure of an idyllic small town. Situated on Main Street, you'll find that cars occasionally roll past, but they never whiz. Take a break--especially gorgeous during fall foliage!

The food was amazing! They have hired a new chef sometime in the last few months and the difference was incredible. The fish and chips were some of the best I have ever had. House made cole slaw and tarter sauce just put it over the top.

After a long day, it is so relaxing to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with a salad and fresh bread that you can dip in olive oil with garlic, and maybe have a bowl of soup, on either the front porch, the back porch, or the bar or the dining room. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. I... More

Large victorian/historical inn within a beautiful small town Vermont location. The dining room is clean, neat, the menu offers a nightly theme/special, with something for everyone. Small bar area is relaxing with large screen TV for sports watching. Would definitely return.
