Since new ownership has taken over, the quality is back. From a simple baked haddock to a great burger, yes, burger, the food is cooked right and served right. They have changed up the interior a bit and it is very relaxing. Convenient location, easily handle larger groups.

Four foodies trying seafood at Jeff's, two from TX and two from Maine. Seafood stew special was excellent--flavorful, not too salty & all the seafood cooked just right. Scallops piccata got rave reviews, pronounced the best ever tasted (from the Mainers). Salmon was good too but portion was small. Lava cake: yummy! Service was excellent. Although busy, not too loud.... More

Friday night dinner, visiting St Alains so no reservations. Large venue so no problem with seating. Couch-like comfortable seating. Waitress attentive throughout meal but not hovering. Mussel appetizer was very good, lots of garlic in not-to-salty white wine sauce (I asked for spoon to get it all). Chowders were too thick for my taste but not pastey. Salads were crisp... More

Had a great meal at Jeff's Restaurant! We all enjoyed our meals (shrimp, clams, salmon), but two things really put this meal over the top for us: Thomas's smiling service, and the Maple Lava Cake!!! OMG! To die for!

We happened upon Jeff's while visiting St. Albans. The bartender let us try the craft beers before selecting one. She was extremely accommodating and visited with us. The restaurant had special dinners from 4:30 to 6:00. Dinner was $20 and you had a choice of soup or salad, choice of about 7 entrees, dessert and homemade dessert selection with coffee.... More

My wife and I ate here a few nights during our stay in St Albans. Having discovered his fine dining restaurant, with good home cooked meals, of generous potions, and not overly priced - we recommend eating here, especially if you chose the fish chowder !

Visited with my mom on a Saturday afternoon. I had the fish chowder which was very good. Mom ordered a Mac & Cheese with some sort of BBQ pork, it came with a salad. The salad should have been served in a salad bowl, not placed on the same plate as a hot casserole dish. Having them both together obviously... More

The food was really good. Staff were attentive and a Manager or Owner type person was present making sure everyone was taken care of (a key to a good place in my opinnion).
