I love Italian food, so when we came upon this restaurant at 6:30 pm on Saturday night after a long day of watching a truck show at the fairgrounds, I was happy. The restaurants on Route 4 were full with folks from the truck show, so we ventured downtown, though we don't know the area. The green awning toting Italian,... More

Generally when I go out to eat, Italian is not an ethic food im particularly fond of. This restaurant changed that.

The Palms is a local favorite for a reason. They have a varied menu, reasonably priced with a good atmosphere and great service. They are an Italian specialty restaurant, and it is no surprise that they serve pizza, pasta and Italian dishes. I had Chicken Marsala, and my wife Chicken Parmigiana, both were very enjoyable, well cooked, with more than... More

If you want a relaxed environment in downtown Rutland with courteous staff and good food, this is the place. Staff is experienced and customers return, so you know this is a good place for family fare.

We tried the Palms at Prospect Point last night with a small group. It was our first time since they opened under new management. (Trip Advisor would not allow me to review this restaurant as such, so I am including my review here, under The Palms, but it should be separate.) The food was generally good, but the service and... We went to Rutland from Londonderry, just to see what we could see. It was a beautiful day till it started pouring buckets of water on us! We ran into the Palms, just to have a drink. We ended up staying for dinner. The decor is very nice. Our server was ShiAnne. She is VERY beautiful, very earthy. Me and... More

This place has been in town forever, and it never fails to satisfy. The pizza on a cookie sheet is always a hit and very tasty. Homemade all the way. Antipasto is great. Good salads. You can never go wrong stopping here for food!

I usually judge a good italian place by there meatball. They have some of the best meatballs within VT. Portions are large great staff and just really simple great food. Homemade bread always gets my attention. Cant wait to go back!

I met my cousins in Vermont to spend a few days skiing and hiking. On Friday, in keeping with our quest for fresh air and exercise, we walked about a mile or so into town to have dinner at the same restaurant that we were at the previous evening. Unfortunately, we did not make reservations so there was a 3... More

My husband and I enjoy Friday night dates at the Palms. We enjoy the square pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions and the Antipasto Salad. We like to sit on the bar side of the restaurant so that we can chat with other patrons. This is a great place for a date night!
