Great place in downtown Rutland. We did take-out, but the inside looked spacious. Prices are what you would expect to pay and the portions were pretty good. We were all able to finish our food and feel satisfied. The ravioli was delicious, as were the...wings and calamari. Great place - highly recommend!More

Limited capacity due to covid19, but this place made me happy. Our server was so friendly and gave great recommendations. The music mix included some Johnny Cash classics which made me smile. I had the lobster mac which was pefect... creamy delish with huge chunks...of lobster.More

It's strange to see such mixed reviews. We had a very good experience here so we are on the positive side. We arrived early and got seated in the main dining area in a booth. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was good....I had the chicken shepherd's pie which was very different but I liked it. We also enjoyed the desserts they had available. We plan to return again when visiting Rutland.More

pulled up to the bar to have a beer. was poured a small glass of tap beer and later charged almost $8 for the beer. prices were not posted but who would have thought $8 in a depressed town like Rutland. I felt violated. maybe...you can say shame on me for not asking in advance but that kind of price gouging took me by surprise. the waitress apologized and even she felt embarrassed when she gave me the check. Moreover, the overfried potato chips that they serve made me sick to my stomach (too much oil?). Many better places in town to go to where you can get a beer for much much cheaper. No wonder the bar was empty!!!! what local would go here? just waiting to entrap the unsuspecting walk in skier/tourist.More

After hearing rave reviews, we made a reservation for a romantic meal. Our reserved table was in the ‘greenhouse’ and what I would consider the worst part of the restaurant. It was freezing cold until they turned on a portable heater. They said no one...could change tables because they were completely booked even though there were empty tables at the time. Our waiter was pleasant. We ordered prime rib egg rolls for an app...the filling was tasty but they were very greasy. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese that came highly recommended. I was told there were large chunks of lobster. What I received was a soupy mix with small shreds of very fishy lobster. It was awful. Not one to send food back or make a scene, I picked at it and left the rest. The waiter asked if I wanted to take it home and I said no. He asked if it was ok and I told him no, it was very fishy and not good. I whispered so others did not hear. The bill took forever to come and I was hoping they took the $24 off or even 50% of it but nothing! I do not recommend and will not return. Hubby’s food was just ok, nothing special. A waste of $95!More

Better, great, Best! Table 24 keeps getting better. Never having a bad meal here, I finally ventured off the entree menu and had the salmon sandwich (blackened) - and all I can say is wow! That was perfection- tender tasty heaven. The salad starter and...the bean that accompanied the dish were good too! I’ll be back again and again!More

Great food made with a flare! Not your fast-food, common variety. The raviolis with cranberries and ricotta cheese in sage jus was phenomenal!

and service was terrible Saturday... Did the chef leave? We have enjoyed Table 24 on numerous evenings and recommended to friends. Last Saturday was terrible. Made a 5:15 reservation for Saturday January 25 via Opentable to sure we would get in with our first time...guests hoping to share our past good experiences. We arrived on time. The place was empty. The hostess escorted us to a table in the front room over looking the VFW hall. She refused a request to relocate claiming everything was booked. Really? There is no way to request a table in Opentable when you make a reservation. We should have headed out then. The appetizers were disappointing. My wife and I ordered the tuna. The waitress assured us it would be 'safe' to order since it was early in the evening and it would be cooked perfectly. It arrived as a nasty grey piece of over seasoned fish that was not edible and should have been tossed in Thursday's garbage. The waitress knew it when it was served but waited for us to send it back. Our guest's dinners and our replacement dinners were very mediocre at best. The 'manager' came by to let us know they knew they had a issue and would remove the tuna from the menu. Why would it be an option in the first place? Why would a real chef, sous chef or expediter allow this to leave the kitchen? Answer.. new line cook. Our waitress decided to completely ignore us after the issue. No water refills.. Waited for 5 minutes for silverware after a hamburger that was dropped as a replacement meal with out comment from a runner. Another 5 minute wait to get some ketchup before I could eat my now cold greasy hamburger. We will never be back. Get it together Chef/Owner Stephen Sawyer.More

We went here before a show. Food was good not great. My husband had swordfish (they were out of salmon) which he said was good. I had mushroom risotto with chicken which was ok. We started with duck fritters which were very good. One thing...bothered me, I didn’t make a reservation because when I checked Open Table it looked like every time was available. We got there to find the place almost empty. When we said we didn’t have a reservation we were told they had no tables and we’d have to eat at the bar. Hmmm. When we left there were still several open tables. I checked open table after we sat down and found all times slots were still available. So I guess you can’t sit at a table if your a walk in. Just a heads up. (Our bartender/server was great by the way). Not sure if we’ll return.More
