We spent a bit of an afternoon here--looking at needed objects, browsing books, and enjoying bakery food! It's pure Vermont and worth a stop!

Sandy's baking is top noch. The bagels are so tasty and make for a great breakfast sandwich. The lunch options are a little different for me, they have vegetarian, vegan, local options that are just not my cup of tea.

This was a interesting place to have lunch and do a little used book shopping at the same time. The menu was varied as was the book selection. The service was good.

We came across this by pure luck. It's a truly fabulous destination whilst driving along the scenic Vermont Route 100, pure relaxation and refreshment. What a stunning place from the outside alone, inside there are books all over the place in rooms named after places from the Lord of the Rings. At the back is a delicious bakery with scones,... Another great suggestion from our lovely innkeeper Kim at Beaverpond farm. She said we should stop at Sandy's on our way south. There's a lot of books and quite a few rooms it seemed. You can sit inside or outside, since it was a bit cold we decided to stay inside. They have some local beers, a lot of coffee,... More

Foliage tour of central Vermont, needed a little break and decided to stop in here. What a great choice! Scrumptious pastries and pies (we had a slice of chocolate torte) and excellent coffee. Enjoyed browsing the books, cards, handbags, et al. Really charming place, wish I had some place like this in my town as I'd be in there several... More

I was just passing by and spotted this cafe. It is an old bookstore, with a coffee shop/bakery. I had a coffee and a muffin. They make lots of different pastries and baked goodies along with sandwiches, which I did not try, but was very tempted. The coevered pario is a great place to have your meal/coffee.

A charming little bookstore and bakery. We loved the grilled cheddar and apple sandwiches for lunch. They also had pastries, breads, cookies, and so on. Good vegetarian options at lunch time. Good food, good service. Can be very busy and lunch time.

Great coffee with local feel! There are several rooms with lots of vintage books! In the main part, great coffees and desserts to nibble on. Very relaxing and trendy spot. You'll find several young folks drinking wine and relaxing on the patio!

We bought some pastry there for our road trip. Nice selection. But what we really found great and quaint was the bookstore. Fun to just rummage around, seats for reading. Enjoyed the browsing.
