Since the main restaurant was closed on Sunday evening, we went to their sister facility, "The Pier" which was right across the street and right on Lake Champlain. It was a very enjoyable dinner. We were seated at a table right on the water. We...both got their delicious hot-buttered lobster roll with a side of aioli sauce. You could choose two sides to go with it so I got their baked beans and potato salad. Because of allergy concerns, my wife just got an alternate of a side salad. We both had drinks which were excellent. The view across the lake and the background mountain ranges were fantastic. We really enjoyed our dinner and time hear. After finishing our dinner, we moved out to their chairs right on the edge of the water to finish our drinks. A very enjoyable experience and one we would gladly seek to enjoy again.More

We stayed for a weekend at the suggestion of friends, and it was a beautiful experience. Upon arrival we had a cocktail in the pub and wanted to try the restaurant, as suggested by the waitress we ordered the evening special "Black pasta with scallops"...beautiful presentation the scallops cooked to the right point but the pasta although cooked perfect tasted notably sour. My wife and I ran a fresh pasta shop for 20 years and knew that the pasta was past date. We then pointed out to the waitress that the pasta was sour and that someone could consume it and have intestinal problems and to communicate it to the cook. The bill arrived with no response from the cook. That was disappointment.More

Really very impressed by the quality of the food here. The salmon was cooked perfectly - nice and crisp on one side, perfectly tender inside. Delicious. My wife had the duck which was excellent. Desserts delicious as well.

A few tables in the front with windows - ask for them when you make reservations. We were in the back. No view and a bit dark. Good food with generous portions.

On a cloudy September day, my husband and I had an early dinner at North Hero House. It was a 15-minute drive from our rental in Grand Isle. We had excellent craft beers and a glass of wine, clam chowder, caprese salad, and (vegetarian) sweet...corn risotto with oyster mushrooms. The food was delicious, the service very friendly with frequent check-ins. Complimentary rolls were warm and very good. A flourless chocolate cake finished things off. The dining room was fairly busy, even early, but we experienced no hiccups in service. Price was as expected. We would definitely return!More

We had a pleasant dinner here - who wouldn't enjoy sitting on the porch and looking at Lake Champlain? - but the food and service were not consistent. We had been told that they would be having their fall menu but it was clearly their...summer menu and perhaps waitstaff and chef were new or filling in? Caesar salads were good but came with a parmesan crisp that was clearly stale. Salmon was good but with potatoes that were hard and not fully cooked. Lamb dry and overcooked. I had been here previously and loved the desserts but tonight they only had two cheesecakes, a chocolate cake and an ice cream sundae. The server told us that they didn't have any whipped cream (and clearly no cherry) so the $7 ice cream sundae was a small serving of ice cream with chocolate sauce - definitely not a great dessert. Perhaps they had left over desserts to serve and nothing new - certainly not fall? Then we had to wait about 20 plus minutes for coffee (probably worth forgetting it but we didn't). So all in all, I wouldn't say this was worth $200.More

Excellent restaurant. Ask for a porch table to get a lake view. Fried goat cheese, escargot and rack of lamb delicious. Great waitress and fast service.

We visited the North Hero House Pier Bar. We arrived by boat on a warm Saturday afternoon, tied off and docked easily. We made our way up to the Pier bar which was busy but not overcrowded. There was a wedding going on at the...same time as we were there but there was no disruption at the bar. We had a wonderful meal and excellent service and will definitely be visiting here again. There was plenty of lakeside seating and it was all undercover and outside. You can travel to get here by car or boat or other means. We enjoyed brisket tacos, lobster roll, burgers and whopper pies for dessert.More

Beautiful inn and terrific ambiance. Ok food, ok service (long wait for food), charming wait staff. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here - but as a guest at the Inn, it was a good option.
