This place has outdoor seating and a full bar, pleasant atmosphere. My husbands' steak quesadilla was fantastic. Loved the cheese blend in there and the steak was cooked just right! I had a beef taco wth cheese, lettuce, tomato, and corn and it was yummy. I also had a chicken, chorizo, and goat cheese taco and that was just okay.... More

While some would call this a Mexican restaurant, I'd term it more of a Tex-Mex joint. The food here is generally quite good, with the biggest downside being the wait for a table on occasion. The staff have always been friendly and I'm frequently surprised by the speed of the kitchen. When you factor in the portions and the quality... More

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on Independence Day for a quick dinner, and were very impressed! We ate here because it was the only open restaurant we could find, but boy were we lucky! The food was delicious - first we were served warm tortilla chips with two types of salsa. The salsas were fresh and were... More

What more can be said. They have delicious Mexican food and we can't help but come back as often as we can.I have always loved Mexican food. The only time I have found better than Julio's is in N.C. where the place was owned and operated by Mexicans. But I am a Vermonter and don't plan on going back to... More

Every three years, the Hockomock Swamp Rats meet on the steps of the Vermont State Capital. We take a photo and then we go to Julio's where we talk about running, the Rat Series and the ten mile race most of us plan to run the next day. While I remember more about the running conversations, the food at Julio's... More

We love Mexican but find it so difficult to actually find good Mexican food, you know, not that greasy, pit in your stomach kind of food. Julio's is the real deal, authentic, good Mexican. It is so tasty. The menu has most of the familiar dishes: it just does them better. Drinks are good too. Friendly, competent service. I just... More

Had dinner at an outside table on a Friday night. The place was busy and lively, and the food was very good.

We were driving though Montpelier on our way back from Maine and were looking for a place to eat. We had a three year old with us. This caught our eye and turned out to be a great find. The food was very good and the portions were perfect size. The service was good. My margarita could have been a... More

This is one of my favorite places for Mexican in VT. Their Nachos are awesome and very big. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.
