The beer selection here is amazing. The server was very knowledgeable and made recommendations based on the kind of beer we described that we liked. The pours were good, and consistent. The service was all around excellent, with the server making recommendations on food as well when we inquired. I had the tomato bisque and half grilled cheese. Unfortunately, the... More

This was the best burger I had in a long time. Many selections to choose from and great drink specials. Lots of local folks and very casual atmosphere.

I live here. Three Penny is THE place for the full range of our great local microbrews, but it also has the most delectable burgers in town, always-fresh and artfully dressed salads and other good eats. There are no throwaway or filler dishes here, it's all made with fresh and mostly local ingredients, easy for both carnivores and vegetarians to... More

Wonderful staff greeted us as soon as we sat down. Got our drinks going, food ordered and settled in, out-of-towners made to feel right at home. Excellent kitchen, friendly service, quite affordable. Good job Three Penny Taproom.

This place had a wide variety of craft cocktails and great beer on tap. Wish we could have stayed longer. We didn't eat, but the menu and food looked great as well!

On our y to Portland, we stopped at Three Penny Taproom. Excellent selection of local beers including some Farmhill and some Lawson's Finest. We had stopped there last year and this time around was just as much fun as last. Excellent and knowledgeable service, great food, and the beers... We'll be back!

Awesome food and drinks, reasonable prices. Total bill was just over $30. White Cosmo: Cranberry vodka, orange liqueur, Aquavit, lime. Super chilled and refreshing. Poured well. Hill farmstead earl oatmeal coffee stout. Incredibly flavorful! Love dark beers. Ploughmans board; amazing pâté, and smoked cheese with a flavorful mustard and bread wedges. The pickles were not my favorite. They looked like... More

Three Penny Taproom is typical of the food/drink renaissance in northern Vermont. It has an excellent selection of craft beers on tap and a variety of interesting dishes to eat. It has a laid back vibe, but obviously puts thought into its menu and drink list. The service is friendly but also quite laid back. You almost feel like you're... More

I thought the bar would be carrying mainly local brews, but they were from all over. I tried a sour IPA that made me pucker! I also tried a sour cherry IPA. Wow! It was a very hot afternoon, so I was glad they turned on some AC. The bar tenders were friendly enough, gave suggestions and tasters. I'd go... More

We didn't eat here, but went for beers and to hang out. Word of mouth from several people we met said it was a must visit bar. It was well worth it to stay in the area. The bar stays open until the close, which I loved. Don't pay attention to the time on the web we were told that... More
