Central location. Very nice decor. Pleasant and helpful staff. Many, many local/craft beers. Worth a visit.

The burger here, although simple, was very tasty and the meat juicy. Great place for lunch, highly recommended.

Asked a local shop owner where was a good place to have dinner and she gave us several ideas. Drove by Three Penny Taproom, which is located in downtown, and like the look of it. The restaurant is a casual and psuedo trendy place for Vermont standards. Tried the Smutty Nose "Old Brown Dog" brown ale and found it delightful.... More

First came here in 2011 and loved it. Visited again in July 2016 and am still in love. You can't beat the atmosphere and beer selection. The bartenders are friendly, knowledgable, and not pushy. Those grilled cheeses are a must, because let's be honest you are here for the beer and you need to soak it up. I am glad... More

I wanted something local while visiting Montpelier. This is a kitschy little pub, and the beer prices were reasonable. The food menu is not large and a little too frou frou for me - really, 50 cents if you want tomato, or onion? I tried the Il Padrino sandwich - different, good, but I would not get it again. I... They had a great beer selection, especially for someone not from Vermont. We were able to try a couple of beers we missed during the Vermont Brewers Festival. I honestly don't really remember the food, except that it was good - the beer was simply more memorable.

Beers were so so. Food was average. Service was good. Both the bar area and dining room had a good crowd.

Decent food. Skip the dessert. Interesting array of craft beers. Burgers deserve better buns. Fish was light and not greasy.

We live here, and this is our favorite spot for dinner. Excellent beer selection, the best around. The burgers are incredible, so is the rest of the menu. Not to be missed!
