We haven’t been here in a year or two but Red Clover is still among the best restaurants in the Killington region. My wife and I were here for a Valentines dinner tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We started with the Butcher Block...appetizer followed by entrees of the Lamb Duo and the Halibut/Lobster combo. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection. Desserts were shared - creme brûlée and mango sorbet. Both were delicious. The wine list is quite good as well and we were able to find one of our favorite Pinot Noirs at a reasonable price. Service was excellent and we really enjoyed the jazz trio as well. Why we don’t come here more often was a question we were asking ourselves all through dinner. I’m sure we’ll be back sooner rather than later.More

Went here with a large group of friends (17) on a Saturday night. The building and restaurant is very impressive and comfortable. We ordered from the menu which had a nice selection of varied dishes to suit most peoples taste. Prices are a bit on...the high side but is typical for this ski area at this time of year. Service was excellent as well as the ambiance. Food was nicely prepared and presented very elegantly. I had ordered the duck which was prepared the way I like it, my only complaint is it could have been hotter, it came out luke warm. Later on I found out some others had a similar issue. Probably caused by serving such a large group. Overall I would recommend this restaurant and plan to hopefully return again.More

I have never had a bad meal at Red Clover Inn, however our most recent visit, I was even more impressI’ve than usual. We were part of a large party of 9 people over the holidays on a Thursday night. It was my first visit...on a Thursday, but it won’t be the last because the live jazz is worth the trip even without the extraordinary food and beverages. We were greeted and seated with grace and received wonderful recommendations for wine and cocktails. I ordered the escargots to start and was delighted with a singular preparation including miso and wakame. Other people at the table ordered the cheese plate, butternut squash soup, and rabbit and dumplings that were all to die for. For dinner, I opted for the cod and lobster risotto, which was excellent. Other guests ordered birds of a feather, the lamb duo, the strip steak...and everything I tasted was extraordinary. For dessert, we shared ice cream with salted caramel, creme brûlée, and the not-to-be-missed fruit crisp (seriously, don’t miss this). I travel an incredible amount for business and I eat out continuously. I was struck, not only by the quality, but by the consistency and excellence across multiple dishes. We’ll be back. I hope for you that you try them out.More

The food and ambience were both outstanding. I ordered the Venison which was perhaps the best I've tried anywhere. Also loved the cheese plate.

We met friends at the Red Clover Inn for dinner. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The meals were excellent. Fresh ingredients and very well present. Nice wine list. The dining room ambiance is lovely and the noise level allowed for pleasant conversation. Our meal...was not rushed. The live music was a nice addition to our experience. Red Clover Inn is now on our favorites list!More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn and ate in the restaurant the night before a Saprtan race at Killington. Fabuolus in every way. The room was fine and a bargain for the price. It looked like there was a really nice fire pit...and a detached cottage with more upscale rooms. A fantastic breakfast was included. The dinner on Saturday evening was incredible. A great selection and an extensve wine list. I had the scallops ans shrimp and it was to die for. We share the meat and cheese platter as an appetizer. It was delicious and very large. Next year when I go to the Spartan race again we will be staying here for sure if not sooner.More

My sister choose this spot to host her wedding, a small intimate family affair and this was just the destination. Staff - amazing, atmosphere-awesome, food - out of this world. The breakfast is second to none for hotel included breakfast, coffee is superb and I...can go on and on. All in all, my sister choose well, all of your family marvelled at the service, food and atmosphere. From the apple tree( wedding venue) fire pit and the rooms made for a relaxing and hassle free event. Thanks to Sarah, Karen, Thomas Carol one the others.More

We went to Vermont for Braydens graduation and wanted a place to stay away from the brand name hotels. This place not only fit the bill but exceeded it. It is off the main road and is laid back and beautiful. Remember the buildings date...back to the 1840's, so things creak and squeak. Our room on the second floor was wonderful with a great mountain view. The best part was the breakfast which was included in the price of the room. It looked and and tasted great. They will try to accommodate you if you want a different meal. A couple was enjoying the hot tub even though it was raining and 62 degrees. We hope to go back and enjoy the rural experience again but in the winter. Thanks Red Clover InnMore

The cuisine at the Inn's restaurant is mouth watering. There are two options for dining: the Tavern and the more formal Dining Room. I love both. The wine list is wonderful, the service impeccable, Nothing tops the food! Consider trying the "Chef's Menu," offered on...Sunday and Monday evenings, and take your palatte on an adventure.More

When you enter the house, you are immediately struck by how cozy and comfortable the Inn feels, and then, you walk in and you know you are someplace special. Ambience is bright and yet serene with a lovely yard in the back. The meal from...cocktail to desert was fabulous! I began with a cosmo, the kind with Cointreau and just a splash of color and it was filled to the brim and absolutely perfect. (I know I am gushing about a drink!) The main course we ordered was lamb chops , superbly cooked to my request, medium rare on top of a delicious bean dish. The meat was melt in your mouth divine. (My first lamb chop in about ten years and it was worth the wait!)Did I mention bread? It reminded me of southern France and the peasant bread I ate with soup, hard crust, tasty center with nice form. Dessert was a cheese plate that satisfies and delighted both of us. The ambience, the food and the people make this a 5 Star establishment that I highly recommend.More

My wife and I went to Red Clover Inn & Restaurant for my birthday dinner. When we looked at the menus we saw the 3 course chef choice meal for $45 per person and decided that we had to try it. We both were beyond...impressed with our meals! Each course is a full meal, not a small portion so be prepared to eat! My wife had a salad as an appetizer, cod and risotto entree, and creme brulee for a dessert. I had escargot, pork chop and cheesecake. We both could not stop talking about the pork chop, it was amazing! The dining area by the fireplace is so nice and if you go on a night where they have live music it makes it that much better. The location is off the beaten path which makes it more romantic. This place is a must!More

We are very demanding hotel and restaurant guests and have stayed and dined at The Red Clover over 15 times in the last two years. Every experience has been outstanding both staying at the Inn and dining at the restaurant. Food quality and preparation is...as good as any highly rated NYC restaurant and wine and drinks list is excellent. Expertly managed property in every respect. You will not be disappointed.More

My son is kind of an odd bird. He’s 11 and is the kind of kid who asks for tasting menus for his birthday instead of presents. We’ve been going to Red Clover Inn for the last six years. The first time he ate two...entire entrees of mussels in a coconut milk sauce. He was five. He’s had lamb three ways, steak, short ribs, duck, a bevy of desserts. This time he came for the escargot. Because, well, gotta love escargot. The staff is SO lovely and the quality of the food is superb. That’s the best part. I appreciate high quality - we eat 100% organic, much of it sourced from Vermont farm shares - but I don’t need pretense with my dinner. It gives me indigestion. The ingredients are exceptional and you can taste the love and care in the food. It’s an intimate restaurant. If there’s room, snag a reservation. If you have to change your schedule so you can fit it in, do it. It’s worth it. You can eat a Michelin quality meal in Mukluks. What could be better?More
