I made reservation in advance and we were promptly seated. We had Tiffany as our server and what a doll she was. I ordered a Cosmo as a cocktail and she told us that the servers make their own drinks. Hers were wonderful!! We ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese as an appetizer. Although I think it could have been... More

We chose to eat here based on all the other Trip Advisor reviews and I loved that the owner always read and responded to most reviews. I called a few days in advance for a reservation so we would not be disappointed. Larissa was our server. She was very well spoken and professional. Everything was timed nicely so that we... More

It was our first time to manage being in Manchester during Ye Olde Tavern's business hours as it had been on our list of restaurants to try for years. (We live in Rutland). The cranberry fritters with maple butter were pure deliciousness! The green salad and bread were good. My husband and I both ordered Tom turkey dinners to celebrate... More

Just what you would expect and want in Vermont in the fall. An old, cozy inn with uneven floors and small rooms and fireplaces and antiques, with great service and elegant menu and meals well-prepared, and with a fine selection of spirits. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Make reservations for dinner, especially on weekends - it's a popular place. The food is very good - the venison (served on fridays) is delicious and tender and their duck is very yummy as well. We also had the lobster bisque and the fillet which were good. The building has a lot of history and is old but well maintained.... More

Penne with lobster and shrimp. Very generous with lots of lobster. Savory marinara sauce. Two Brownie al a mode with candles for desert. Good small Caesar salad. Reasonably priced. Good service. Salmon and blackened cat fish equally good. Large menus and specials.

This place is cool just because it's really old, but well maintained. I had the duck and spouse had the pot pie, and both were excellent.

This was a really large restaurant in an old historic hotel. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed (good thing we had reservations). We got seated almost immediately which was great. We had 5 adults and two young kids (4 years old and 18 months) and got a big round table so we were happy that... More

It is good to read that you enjoyed your meals, our historic atmosphere, the excellent service and the fact that the round table encouraged conversation. As for 'kids', they are always welcome. After many years of serving children and following their likes and dislikes, we have a Kids Menu that appeals to both the parents and children. We feel that... More

Do make reservations especially during a busy season. Comfort foods and gourmet delights. The pace of serving is just right. You don't feel rushed but you also aren't left waiting for your food.
