We arrived early, 5ish, for dinner as we missed lunch and were starving. We asked to be seated outside as air conditioning is usually just too cold for us. The patio, even on a rainy Thursday night, was perfect. We ate off the Tavern menu which had something for every appetite. So much so that it was really hard to... More

We dined at The Perfect Wife on a Tuesday evening. We had reservations and were promptly seated. The grounds and building are lovely! It is pristine and serene. I especially liked the well cared for gardens. Our meals were extraordinary! We started out with the "Salad like Mom's," and some delightful homemade bread. I especially enjoyed the cornbread... a great... More

No idea why this place gets good reviews. We dined in the next door venue to the Perfect Wife and it was dingy, poor overpriced food and lousy service. My husband said that the nachos I got looked like a drunk college student threw it together with whatever they could scrounge up in the kitchen. Blecchh! Just a bad experience.

Our party of four came here on a busySaturday night. We had cocktails that were delicious at the bar downstairs next to the greenhouse. Mojito, Moscow Mule and lemoncello martinis were professionally made by a friendly bartender. We were seated promptly in the greenhouse dining room. There were bad storms in the area which made our experience very unique in... More

When we called, the restaurant was booked, but the hostess asked us to come anyway and they would accommodate us. It was a very nice restaurant and the food was delicious; I had the pepper steak and my (perfect) wife had the steak tips. Both were outstanding. Our waitress was so attentive and polite. The atmosphere was also fantastic. We... More

Oh My! Very pretty fine dining venue with an amazing piano player. Waitress was friendly, professional and helpful. My husband enjoyed homemade french onion soup and a shrimp scampi fro dinner. I enjoyed Gaspacho and wonderful Roast Duckling. The ice cream for dessert was a perfect ending. Extensive wine and drinks list.

Dear Jackie, Thank you for the 5 star review! Glad you so enjoyed your dinner here. And I agree, the Wilcox ice cream, made a few miles away from here, is divine! See you next time. Amy Chamberlain More

The dinning facility is awful, one room has low ceilings and the other room attached is like a greenhouse. The decor in the dinning area is tired, trying to be fancy but feels old. Eat outside, beautiful! When we walked in we were the first ones in the restaurant. The hostess told us we could not eat if we did... More

This is actually one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The food was bad bar food and extremely over priced. The service was equally as bad if not worse. The atmosphere was old and dingy. An average of 4 stars....really?

Our dinners in the Tavern (actually on their patio) were very good: The Howling Wolf was a great combination of vegetables, brown rice, sweet potato hash and curry sacue with sundried cherries -- delicious! The Misty Knoll turkey burger was excellent, on a toasted gluten-free bun. Our server was friendly, responsive and very knowledgeable. A great dinner experience overall.

Will definitely return. Great food, beautiful outdoor area, great service. Informal dining. The chef / owner is clearly "there" and ensures a quality dining experience.

Amy's creative approach to combining ingredients results in an intriguing and delicious menu. Enjoy a memorable fine dining experience while relaxing in our rustic cobblestone walled restaurant and greenhouse garden room.

Our broad wine list and extensive selection of spirits will provide just the right accompaniment for your meal. And as a reward for eating all your veggies, you should treat yourself to a delicious homemade dessert.

Afterwards, feel free to stop in at our spirited local tavern for an after dinner drink or a game of darts, with live music in the tavern on most Friday evenings.
