I have been anxiously awaiting The Silver Fork's reopening in the old Mark Skinner Library. It was worth the wait! The setting is phenomenal. The drinks, food and service are top notch. We will definitely be back!

Just reopened in the fabulous old Manchester Library, with a magnificent towering ceiling, amazing architecture with pink granite walls and enormous windows. The bar is also beautiful. And then there is the Octagon Room, which seats about 9 and provides a private dining space. Check...out the furnishings from the 60’s and the Art- all tastefully integrates. But the best part is still the food, which hasn’t missed a beat. Easily the best meal in Manchester, likely all of Southern Vermont. Melody hosts while her husband Mark is the Chef - and his amazing artistry with flavors and dishes is unsurpassed. For years there small location up the street was booked often a month or more in advance. Now with more tables, a spectacular setting and the same great food, this is the goto place in the area. Bravo! For having the courage to expand and take the restaurant to new heights as we all battle Covid.More

What a great setting. Food and service good but the decor is a winner. Need to work out kinks of expansion. Bar and kitchen awfully slow but that's okay with us - we'll not the bar! They have only been open five days

This place is fantastic! With recipes from around the world you can find something truly spectacular. Make sure to study the menu on line before you go. The wines are also excellent, hard to find, and at reasonable prices. The desserts are first rate ,...two of which require 30 minute advance ordering so get the dessert menu with the regular menu. The ambiance is terrific and you feel great the moment you sit down. Please note it is small and requires advance reservations but worth the trouble. The meal my wife and I had was the best we have had in years.More

Every single thing was first class. This is a rare experience. You can give 5 stars to something because you are happy but it does not capture just how far above the others this is.

We continue to return to the Sliver Fork in an area with plenty of dining options. The restaurant is perfect. It is small, intimate with low noise level. The menu has extensive choices. The wine list has lovely selections and is reasonably priced. The meals...are excellent, with superior ingredients and wonderfully presented. The staff are a delight and make you feel very welcomed. It is definitely our choice when dining in Southern Vermont.More

We opted to place our names on a waiting list and were delighted to hear from Melody that we were able to dine last evening. The escargot in puff pastry and crab cake with fries were outstanding. The service is as others have shared...personal and...genuine. We will return!More

The service, food and ambiance are all just top notch here. We love the intimacy of this restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and said I wanted a glass of wine with my dinner to which our server replied, "Let me bring you tastes of my...two favorites for that dish". Her suggestions were spot on. I had the Gavi, drier of the two choices, which was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. All four of us had different entrees. Each was fully enjoyed. We shared bread pudding for dessert, very yummy. Had we more space available in our bellies, we would have had the floating mango dessert too. It looked amazing! Melody and Mark are a great team and have excellent servers. We are so happy we were able to return after a few years and enjoy another outstanding meal here. We hope the Silver Fork continues to thrive for many more years. Definitely worth a special trip!More

This was our 2nd trip to The Silver Fork. We haven’t been to Manchester in 4-5 years and it was even better than our last trip. The food is amazing and the chef’s wife is so warm and welcoming. It was lovely speaking with her...while having some of the best food we’ve ever had. My husband had the crab cakes and I had the salmon puff pastry. The icing on the cake is the Caribbean bread pudding. It is probably the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life. Please make sure you leave enough room for it. I swore on our last trip I was going to have my own and not share, and that’s exactly what I did!More

This is a great little restaurant - about five tables and five seats at the bar. We ate at the bar on comfortable stools (with backs!) and had a leisurely and pleasant meal - enjoying chatting with the two successive American couple who dined next...to us. Very friendly staff and a great menu of freshly cooked food. A really high standard place to eatMore

Casual but not yard clothes. I would say what you would wear to church, but I have seen jogging clothes there. Clean, no holes something that you are not embarrassed to be caught in.

They are incredibly busy and book weeks/sometimes months in advance. Get on the phone to talk to them :>)
