We had made a reservation for an inside booth. When we got there they tried to seat us on high tops in the middle of the restaurant. There was no social distancing. We asked if we could be seated outside instead and they accommodated that...request. Our service was slow, however, considering the problems getting help was not of real concern and was to be expected. Had the queso burger which was rather bland. The tacos were okay, but nothing special. We were disappointed in the quality of the food and would probably not return.More

We dined here on our last night in Manchester before we left for our trip back home in Philly. The food was not haute cuisine; however, it was tasty. We both had fajitas. The atmosphere was fun- a real energetic vibe on a cloudy, rainy...night. Our server was very pleasant. When we got home, we realized that we had left our credit card on the table. When we called the restaurant, a friendly employee ( I think her name was Amber) located the card which was being held in a safe place in the restaurant. She mailed it to us promptly to our home in Philly. We plan to visit Gringo Jack’s for a fun meal the next time we travel to Manchester.More

Our experience may not be typical, but frankly, this was perhaps the worst Mexican food that we have had considering the upscale price that we paid. The place was crazy busy for a Monday night, so that might explain it, but the whole experience had...a "factory food" quality to it. First, the freshly made corn chips came way over done. Not charred, but definitely burnt to a crisp. These were replaced with a new basket which were fine. Second, the Mexican beer selection is Corona and Corona Light - in a can! Gives new meaning to "Corona with a lime". That's not so bad except that it was not served cold. Not warm exactly, but not cold. Our entrees came and the food was not hot. Not cold exactly, but better eat fast or the little warmth it had would have quickly dissipated. Not how I expected to savor my $20+ veggie enchiladas. My wife's shrimp tacos tasted like they used frozen from a package shrimp. And, the Spanish rice side dish looked and tasted like it had been made a day or two before. Along with the cool temperature, the rice was essentially inedible. After having returned the chips and questioning the $12 cost for a side of guacamole (serving for two) we could sense that we may have been pegged as "difficult" customers, so we did not complain about the food, but in our view, this restaurant was well below the hype, and, as tourists, we fell into the trap.More

The staff work their butts off! Very high volume atmosphere with lots of families. Not a bad thing but good to know. Food was decent, not great. Vodka drink was pitiful but what should I expect!

Good food in the Mex-USA style. We had A tequila sunrise for $9, nachos, Chicken/Shrimp fajitas, the special Tamale Dinner. Total was a bit over $90 for two, including tip. Drove from Killington and it was worth it!

We sat outside -- I agree with the review about the chairs being uncomfortable. Some had cushions, which helped. Food was good but service was slow. They said they were still having trouble finding help in the kitchen

Great food. Quaint Mexican atmosphere. Booths looked comfortable but the chairs we sat in were not. I had haddock tacos with black beans and rice which were all very good. Big menu but, priced on the high end for Mexican food.

Gringo Jack’s is always reliable for a good dinner in Manchester. The food and the service are very, very good. They have done a nice job handling the Covid restrictions imposed by the state. Chips and salsa are brought to the table when guests are...seated. We both enjoyed the grilled chicken fajitas and the sangria. We were too full for dessert!More

Ordered pork tacos with side of homemade bbq sauce and guacamole. Guacamole was delicious and fresh! Tacos should have had sauce directly on meat, dipping or pouring on was messy but bbq sauce has great flavor. Also had organic margarita drink special which was perfect...spring break beverage.More

Service was great but food was off. The corn side tasted like frozen corn and the red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. Very odd. I’ve been here a few times and always thought it was delicious. Not this time. Even the famous chips were off,...with two kinds of chips mixed in.More
