Cafe is a great breakfast and lunch place where all the locals go during the off-season! Great food, good service with Vermont flair- it is a must go when visiting Ludlow!

Great in every way. Perfect huge pancakes, with lots of blueberries - you can buy just 1 or 2 (local secret). Perfectly cooked. Everything is priced really well. The scrambled eggs were exactly puffy enough. Went back for lunch - can't be beat.

We have tried other restaurants in the area and always come back, no one can compare. Always cheerful service, the best raisin bread French toast ever.

Yes, it was more reasonably priced than other restaurants in the area, but I can't say I really enjoyed the food. The corned beef hash was from a can and the bread had your run of the mill griddle margarine. I would go elsewhere.

The girls made a quick space for the 8 of us on a Wed am. Great food, excellent service and reasonable prices. We all had varying breakfast options and all enjoyed their choices. Shared laughter was the best part of our morning here!

Decent meal, but Cafe at Delight could have been a lot better if not for a few snafus that tarnished our lunch experience. Clearly the prices here are more reasonable than those at the other sit-down restaurants in the area. We both went for the...egg salad sandwich, which cost only $3.75 before the $1 supplement for lettuce (one piece of iceberg per half), tomato (generously cut and ripe), and onions (red, a good touch). Having a choice of bread (we went with rye) was also nice. We would have ordered some of their prominently featured home-made soup as well, with a bowl costing just over $4, but alas, they had already run out by the time we ordered. Indeed, the restaurant wasn’t really set up to handle large crowds, and when a tour group ventured ahead of us and took five tables, the sole jovial waitress and her assistant were unable to keep up. Last on the list even though we had sat down beforehand, we watched from our corner table for fifteen minutes as each successive order was taken and dropped off in the kitchen. We were kitty corner to four booster seats and an upright vacuum cleaner, so after a while we started making fun of the non-decor. When our sandwiches finally arrived, it was hard not to notice the quantity of mayonnaise -- as if the chef had found a way to stretch more volume out of fewer eggs by adding more of the white stuff. My rule of thumb for when there’s too much mayo is when the egg salad loses its yellow color, and ours was whiter than marshmallow fluff. A bigger disappointment came with desert. Since we weren’t able to have their homemade soup, we had to try their homemade pumpkin pie. Sadly, it arrived completely bare, without whipped cream or anything exciting, and it was clearly two if not three or four days old. Plus, at $3 per tiny slice, usually well within reason at other restaurants, it still felt steep given the $3.75 egg salad sandwich benchmark. Diners were asked to pay at the front and only cash, so that particular level of service was missing. Not surprisingly, I could see that only some of the tables left gratuities, evidently confused by the expectations of management for this cute sandwich joint that tried a bit unsuccessfully to go the extra mile.More

Small home style restaurant that serves delicious breakfast! Bacon cooked perfectly, nicely fried eggs, home fries, toast. What more could you want? Very reasonable prices and friendly service. Looks like many locals breakfast here too !

Family members have a vacation home near this small cafe and have frequented it many times over the years. We came by for a visit and went for breakfast. Great menu choices enough variety for all tastes in breakfast. I personally had the chocolate chip...pancakes and oh my goodness they did not disappoint. Everyone at the table was very satisfied with their meals. We visited on a Saturday morning and they were busy but we got right in and had excellent service. I do highly recommend this restaurant and will return next time we visit the area.More
