We were in Killington this past weekend with a group of friends and stopped in at McGrath's for a post-ski beer and lunch. McGrath's is a true Irish pub in the heart of Vermont; we were able to grab a couple of tables for the ten of us in the early afternoon no problem, and both Bob and Owen waited... More

The atmosphere at McGrath's is fantastic. This is an authentic inn with an authentic pub and a basic restaurant attached. We ate at the restaurant. The MacnCheese was great. The swordfish was also good with a balsamic reduction and sweet onions. Service was prompt and very friendly. The waiting time for the table was really pleasant. Our boys played chess... More

Before heading to dinner, I checked out the reviews on this website. I saw many very favorable reviews. I don't know that what more I can add but I will throw in my two cents as I was just there the other day! My partner and I shared the cheddar and bacon spuds for an appetizer - they were excellent.... More

To be clear, Mcgrath's pub and bar area is a great place to get a drink after a day of skiing. But you should stay away from Rosemarie's restaurant. We booked McGrath's for for NYE dinner with our family and friends based on TripAdvisor reviews and its ranking of #2 in Killington - very misleading. I don't like reading long... More

The bar area is seat yourself, so grab a pint and be patient as it can get busy. The service was fast and really nice. Great attitudes by all! The food was very good. My daughter was very pleased that she got to sit on the rock that she dubbed the Blarney Stone. (Not sure if it has a name).... More

It felt like home made food - yammy and hearty. The beef stew and corn beef sandwich were delishes! The huge benefit of this Irish pub is that they are openned until 11pm on the week-day! There is live music on the week-ends.

We absolutely loved spending time with the bartender, Owen. He has a genuine personality and is just perfect to have serving your drinks. The bands are different yet very entertaining to watch! Its a very homey place that feels like everyone knows each other even if its your first time there! I highly recommend the loaded spuds and Ruben!

Just like the TV show this pub makes everyone feel at home and welcome. Owen, the bartender, personally welcomes everyone and the wait staff continues the friendliness. The weekend music can't be beat. The pub fare menu is anything but fair, it's fantastic! One thought... Being as a "tourist". I would appreciate some local brews other than Long Trail and/or... Nice little pub set up. Food was just slightly under average. Can't get a Black an Tan but you can get a half and half- whatever. Stew was meaty but salty. Services was frenetic.

When an Irish pub is better than Cheers, then you know it will be good. We were driving from Bennington to Burlington last month during a leaf peepers tour, when we turned off to Killington cos the guide book said that they may have some lifts working for a trip up the mountainside. The lifts were not going, they were... More
