Get there early, as seating is limited, and it fills up fast. You won't be disappointed with the great local cuisine.

We thought this would be as everyone had reviewed - an experience. Sad to say we thought it was very overrated. You meet at a lodge & get taken up to the yurt in a trailer pulled by a snowcat. It takes about 10 minutes. We dressed in outdoor gear (salopettes etc) because it was snowing & although you get... More

Loved this unique experience of a lifetime! Great food! Awesome ride up the mountain in the snow cat with the snow and wind whipping through our hair! Good thing we drank the complimentary pre Yurt cocktail before we left to keep us toasty up the mountain!

The Yurt is a unique Killington dining experience, and a fantastic "special" addition to your trip to the mountain. Ours was a wedding gift from friends, and I have to say, they made a great choice. The Yurt is not a typical romantic dining experience, however; seating is at tables of 6-8, cafeteria style, so unless it's a light evening,... More

I came here with my husband for a special dinner as a wedding gift. The overall experience was great. We met at Snowshed lodge for a drink, and then headed up to the Yurt in a sled pulled by a groomer. It was VERY cold out, but they thoughtfully provided blankets. Dinner was great, it's 5 courses, and despite the... More

Well, I'd say the food here is wonderful. The service is excellent. The portions are acceptable to large. For lunch, this is one of the best places there is at Killington. Get there BEFORE 11:40 am! There's no downside except it's a yurt, so that's really a gimmick. It was cold outside, and each time someone opens the door, you... More

We were with another couple and wanted to do something special during our ski trip. This was just the thing!! The snow-cat drawn sleigh was such a different activity, it was so cozy (very, very cold, but temps were below 0F that week). Riding up the mountain in the pitch dark is not something you expect normally. The Yurt itself... More

Found this little chalet restaurant on a cold day looking for a place to warm up. Lovely little rustic setting just off the trail with very pleasant waitstaff and fantastic food. My husband and two young sons (13 and 10) enjoyed the experience immensely. Crab bisque and butternut squash soup with both delicious starters. Lobster shepherds pie, grilled Reuben and... More

The food was gourmet. The place was chilly but the outside temperature was minus 7 degrees. Ask for a table near the stove. The sleigh ride to the Yurt for the 30 attendees was exciting but extremely cold. Dress appropriately and they supply blankets to cover yourself as well. A very different experience Much fun!!
