We arrived to a full restaurant, but a gracious waitress re-organized the wait list and table configurations so that all the folks waiting got tables. She warned us the wait might be long (it was) but the food was worth it. And appetizers and fresh bread and butter and endless pitchers of water and offers of drinks helped pass the time. The blackened chicken pasta was SO good, and incredibly generous portions. I had the scallops, which were perfectly seared, over bacon and Brussels sprouts. My pickiest child rated the chicken fingers 9/10 for their crisp outside and juicy, steaming chicken breast inside. The filet steak was perfectly cooked. Our waitress was cheerful and friendly, and made the meal even more pleasant. Great food, I'll definitely return when we pass through Jeffersonville again.

On a recent trip to see snow I settled on Vermont largely because it's such a great "foody" state. Besides being the craft beer capital, it's emphasis on naturally grown, locally produced food ingredients at most restaurants (at least in small rural areas like Jeffersonville) made the decision easy. The Family Table Restaurant was the best of a number of excellent restaurants I ate at while visiting. It had a full bar including at least ten locally brewed craft beers and it's menu was surprisingly broad in appeal. It serves very good classic and comforting American appetizers and entrees and desserts with a Vermontian style, that includes among other things a creative use of maple extracts where appropriate (like the grilled pork chop I had) and the cream of mushroom soup was unlike any other (and better.) The service was very friendly and hospitable too. This restaurant alone is a reason I may go back to Jeffersonville again, which is saying a lot considering I live in Miami.

We anticipated our return to dine here since we planned our trip. Sometimes when you revisit it's not the same as you remember but happy to say that Chef Raphael did not disappoint! We arrived early as we know it gets crowded and busy for dinner. The maple chipotle wings were flavourful, crispy yet juicy and tender. The mussels were also plump and plenty. Our salad was large enough for more than two of us. Flank steak and pork chops were as we remembered delicious! Thank you and we look forward to our next visit.

Most of the reviews here are good, mine is not. Well appointed inside, staff seemed nice bar looks nice. There are no sound baffles or other types of sound mitigation, so the main dining room is extremely noisy. Reggae music blasting into the main dining room so loud it was hard to hold a conversation between the overall din and the music (and I like reggae). Six of us out for dinner, and it took nearly and hour and twenty minutes for our dinners to come. There were people that came in, after us, ordered, at and left before we were served. They said the wait was due to cooking the pork chops well, but these are a regular menu item and if it talks an hour and a half too cook a chop…well…not sure they know what they are doing…they could have al least warned us, nut mo. Wings were OK, my Ceasar salad was soggy, limp and brown. Waitress did not clear the table of used dishes (they just piled up), and never offered a refill on the iced(I had to ask 3x). The waitress with the water was great…never ran out of water. Overall, most of only ate half our meal.…the food was middling at best food, and the waitress kept asking is “did you like it” – odd, quite odd since most of the plates went back half full, she should have been able to figure that out herself. Prices are way out of range for the quality and type of food. Could have gone over to the Tavern, and an excellent meal in 1/5th of the time, 2x the quality at ½ of the price. You can be sure I won’t go back to the Family Table again.

We enjoyed typical local Vermont winter cusine. The location and parking were convenient. Nice twists on pub food, and very fresh. We enjoyed burgers, sandwiches, chili, fries, wings, local beers on tap. Modern atmosphere, and family friendly.

First. The food was excellent. The menu was varied and all of items we had came out great. Two of us had the filet and could not say enough about how well it was cooked and how flavorful it and the sides were. Another had the fish and chips and they were perfect. Great flavor and not greasy at all and the cold slaw was awesome. Another had the butternut squash ravioli and the brown butter was very tasty. Large portions too. Finally we also had the pasta special with sausage and shrimp and loved it. Side salads were huge too. We were very happy to see this restaurant reopen after renovations. The updated decor gave just the right ambience of upscale while relaxed. The specialty drinks were worth it as well. There were lots of options so we shared a few. Finally our waitress Jordan was so friendly and helpful. We have been vacationing in this area for years and this is one of the better restaurants. Thank you for a great evening with our grown family.

This was our best meal for the entire week we were in the area. The owner is the chef and obviously takes great pride in his work. My wife had salmon and said it was the best she had been served in a long time. I had chicken marsala, my favorite dish, and how I rate one restaurant vs another...it had the best marsala sauce than any other restaurants we frequent. We both agreed we enjoyed this meal more than our fine dining at nearby Harrison's and would recommend this place above all in the area. Great food, service, and server personality here even though they were very busy.

Each dish we had was excellently prepared. You can tell an expert chef owner was in the kitchen. Started with the best onion soup - rich and flavorful. The mussels in saffron cream sauce were perfect and you could see and taste the saffron. Caesar salad was crisp and the Caesar dressing was spot on. The vegetarian pizza was well-balanced, chewy and crispy at the same time. The Family Table serves bread from Two Sons bakery - a real treat. It doesn’t look fancy but the the chef and staff are great. You won’t be disappointed.

Our party consisted of 6 adults and 5 children (ages 9 down to 18 months). We were looking for a restaurant that could accommodate a party like that (with some obvious potential noise expectations from children). We were on a family ski trip at Smugglers’ Notch, and came for dinner one evening. The food was excellent overall. The highlights were the maple pork tenderloin, the chicken wing appetizer, and the blackened shrimp appetizer with a mango dipping sauce. The crab cake was average. The bread service to lead off was also really good. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Staying nearby, we were looking for a casual spot for dinner. This place fit the bill! BBQ chicken pizza was enjoyed by the gal and I had a delicious lamb burger. Fresh cut fries and a nice full bar with a handful of good beers to be had. I tried a Green State Lager. Perfect! Natalie was attentive, cute and good little server. All in all a nice choice.

We visited The Family Table twice during our stay, and both meals were very good. The sauces were a little thin for my taste but the flavor was excellent. The portions are huge, so we didn't have room for dessert, but do have a drink with dinner. I had the lemon gin sour both trips, because it was one of the best drinks I've ever had!
