Good food, fair prices, great atmosphere. I've been coming here for years and have never tired of it.

Music is not Irish nor Celtic and not for people over 30 in my opinion. I have this basic requirement: If you label yourself an Irish restaurant, then play Irish or Celtic music. Second requirement for an Irish restaurant is that you serve a broad based Irish menu. Most of the food is typically found in a generic restaurant. The... More

Cody's is always consistent. They have great buffalo wings, and some pretty good salads. Their burgers are good (and there are a large variety of them.) Their fries are homemade and very good. Standard pub food.

Cody's is a wonderful, friendly pub to enjoy a leisurely lunch with a good friend or family. The food is consistently above par and the service is great. Everyone treats you like family and there is a sense of comraderie, and Cody's really rocks on St. Patrick's Day.

Cody's is a local pub, that tries to please, but often falls flat. They need to ramp up their flavor profiles of their basic Irish fare of shepherd's pie, Irish stew and the like. The mashed potatoes can be gluey. Besides onion, it's hard to taste much else, with the pie. The stew has too much flour, used as a... More

It is easy to lunch or dinner here, great pub food but also (non fried food )options. Amazing clam chowder and roast beef sandwich, my favorite.

When in Essex Junction, Cody's Irish Pub is worth finding, since there aren't many great options to choose from. While not necessarily Irish, I think their menu has very good choices and the kitchen is open til around 10pm. All their burgers are good. Their draft beer selection is local-centric and generally under $7. It has the requisite sports games... More

I've been in the area for several years. Sitting at a table is usually ok. The food is pretty good and the service is usually decent. Sitting at the bar though is entirely different. Sometimes the owner actually achnoledges you and doesn't give you too much attitude. Other times I've felt like I just broke into his living room and... More

Cody's has always been a great place for 'pub grub'. They offer a broad menu at a reasonable price. They also have a great selection of beers. There are several Irish items on the menu as well. My favorite is the shepherds pie. The service is friendly and very efficientt.

Cody's has an extensive selection of beers - most unknown to me, but appreciated by colleagues who know their beers! Typical fare are appetizers such as buffalo wings, nachos and the like. None of the food is outstanding, but most of it is good enough to satisfy a healthy appetite. Go for the ambiance, go for the beer, go for... More
