We had a wonderful dinner at the chefs table. It is great to watch these talented young chefs work their magic. We ate here for dinner and I had the mushroom risotto which was among the best I have eaten. Nicole did a wonderful job combining flavors, and plating my dish. She paired the Pinot noir with my dish and... More

We didn't know that Chef's Table was a subset of Junction. So the menu and prices are the same, but you can sit down at the counter and watch the chefs prepare all the dishes and even chat with them. The cheese plates are worth ordering but the green salad was only ok. The bolognese appetizer was exquisite and the... More

My friend and I decided to eat here on our last night of our stay. We took the table d'hote which was a sample of many dishes. We also added the option where a glass of wine would be paired with each of the dishes. The food was excellent, well explained and presented. The wines were also excellent and when... More

This was our third cooking class at the Essex – and the best. We took the “Taste of France” class taught by Chef Lisa Ruoff. She was a great instructor and was open to questions and very helpful. We learned new things, and better ways of doing old things (like dicing an onion). Our group had so much fun practicing... More

We took the Primo Pasta class with Chef Lisa and A Taste of Austria with Chef Anthony S. Both were fantastic, but we preferred the Austrian class because it was smaller (6 vs 12) and it was easier to jump in and cook (that was the point!). Chef Anthony S was a great teacher and very relaxed in the kitchen.

Went to Essex Resort on a Tuesday evening expecting to have an enjoyable restaurant evening. Upon arrival we were informed that the restaurant is closed on Tuesday an Wednesday. We were told that we could eat in the Tavern. Cocktails were rather small, so we had to order a double. My companion ordered the cheesesteak and she said that it... More

What a great experience. Wrote a review under Junction Restaurant...the food, the service, watching the chefs prepare our food was a great evening. I'm a "foodie" and rarely give 5 stars, but this certainly was! I would definitely recommend reservations, and I would request the chef's table, which is a very nice bar area overlooking the open kitchen. There are... More

What a dinner we had! Everything was good and we barely had place for dessert which was also incredible. This is a perfect restaurant for couples who want to enjoy an nice, long, romantic evening with a several service dinner and a bottle a wine. It's a bit pricy but all worth it; it's a culinary experience after all.

We ate here this past weekend and what an experience it was! Each course was deelish and yes, rich too! Although chef Michael was a bit on the quiet side, his cooking was on point. He explained the plates, food, and method of preparation. The only negative I would say is that our meat dish was served barely warm, more... More
