Had an early dinner on a Sunday evening. Super friendly staff. Wonderful atmosphere and good music. We tried the appetizer platter which was good. I had the chicken tikka masala which was ok, kind of tasted a little like mac and cheese. Next time I...would order something different. My wife had the saag paneer and asked for it to be extra spicy. And although the paneer had no flavor the spinach and sauce was outstanding and the flavor was phenomenal. Unfortunately they do not serve beer, but they do have an excellent chai tea. We would recommend.More

Went for lunch with a friend. We arrived at noon and not a soul was there. It took 20 minutes for the lady to come out from the back, we keep saying, hello is anyone here! Lol. Finally she came with 2 sticky menus and...dirty glasses of water. We leftMore

They serve a Saturday buffet brunch that is great. The food is Indian and curried, hot and delicious. My wife and I go there often and the food is good for a fair price. Worth checking out.

Returned to Nepali Kitchen tonight for the third time. This is a seriously good Indian restaurant. We started with the non-veg appetizer dish. The pakoras were perfect. The salmon pakoras were flaky and tasty. The butter chicken was delicious with tender chicken and a silky...butter sauce. We also had the lamb saag, which I highly recommend. The service was friendly and attentive. We'll keep going back.More

Yesterday we had dinner with mo-mom veggie dumplings, just delicious. Then the chili chicken was so-so with several hard ends of the chicken pieces. Tonight we had the veggie platter as the appetizer- with the pacoras being delicious and all the others being quite bland....The chicken shahi korman was good but definitely could have used more spice and flavor. Service was overwhelmed.More

Nepali Kitchen is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Essex Junction. The food is delicious and the staff gracious. You may bring your own beer or wine and the restaurant will supply the glasses. One of our local favorites.

Wonderfully tasting fare! So happy this is an option in our town! Small dining room, nothing exceptional except the food! And the employees are so nice as well!

This place is the quintessential hidden gem of dining. Our first impression was not necessarily blown away, it's a simple place. But every aspect of our experience was superb- the service was super friendly and prompt and helpful. The food was absolutely fantastic. We came...back again and it was great again! We're reluctant to share this review for fear of this place becoming too popular but it's our civic duty to give props to high quality. If you want to impress someone with your knowledge of surprising local treasures, all you have to do is bring them to Nepali Kitchen!More

I've gone without one each time. Maybe I've just been lucky but I've had no trouble getting seated. Sometimes it's been full by the time I've left. I tend to eat a little earlier than most people. It wouldn't hurt to have a... More
