Unfortunately the restaurant has now been closed for good. They used to have nice take-away pizza only on Sunday nights but alas, you have to drive over to Manchester to get it now. Speaking of pizza there I recommend Christos or Sam's (aka Wood Fired Pizza Co) at the mini round-about.

Hi, Just want to let you know that we have closed permanently in the old location in Dorset, but we are considering other options. We still have the business and we plan to do something in the near future. Thanks. Bev More

I felt as though I was in a Parisian bistro. The salmon was steamed. There was a small amount of white cream sauce with dill brushed on top of it and was served with asparagus. The crust of the bread is crunchy and is served with a small dish of olive oil. Only thing missing is sparkling water. Saratoga sparkling... More

This is a great little restaurant overall. It is one of the few places that offers outdoor (covered) dining which is lovely on a nice evening. The food is excellent and the menu is varied enough to have something that would appeal to most everyone...seafood, poultry, veal shank, beef, vegetarian and so on. Organic ingredients and creative preparations. Very friendly... More

My wife and I have been going to Mio for years. There isn't anything on the menu that I haven't had, or wouldn't re-order! They have recently undergone an interior renovation that includes some larger, semiprivate areas that are perfect for a party of eight. The drinks are consistently good, wine is well matched to the entrees and moderatly priced,... More

This restaurant doesn't look as much from the outside, but its surely worth traveling for. The food is extraordinary, the staff is friendly and professional - yet relaxed - and each serving is of a very high standard. Large and tasty portions. We are from outside Vermont and this place will certainly influence plans for future traveling routes through Vermont.

We recently had our rehearsal dinner and reception drinks at Mio Bistro and the experience was perfect. We already knew the food would be delicious, as we've dined here in the past and always left very happy. What we were surprised by was just how accommodating and wonderful the Mio team was to work with. And how wonderfully their recent... More

Already the most popular restaurant in Dorset, Mio's is now even more fantastic, it has been totally remodeled. More indoor seating and a new bar area make it more pleasant than ever. The only disappointing thing about Mio's in the past has been not being able to get a table. The expanded seating will help. We had dinner there last... More

This is a small, intimate restaurant in a small, lovely Vermont town. The chefs/owners, a husband and wife team, offer a wonderful selection of seasonal appetizers and entrees, prepared mostly from locally grown meats and produce. The atmosphere is both casual and refined and the food is beautifully prepared and served. Four of us each had different selections from the... More

This restaurant is a must if you are in the area, (even if you aren't-its worth the drive)! We've been there many times and the food is always consistently creative and great. Leo and Beverly, the owners are both lovely people, They provide organic, grass fed non GMO farm to table foods that are expertly prepared (by Leo). It's obvious... More

Mio is reopening late September as a takeout only food truck restaurant parking at JK Adams in Dorset. We will be serving our soups and chowders, gourmet pizza and daily specials such as curries, seafood, and meatballs using organic/local and humanely raised meat and poultry, and GMO-free items. We will list each local farm, organic and GMO-free ingredient in order to be completely transparent about the food we are preparing.
