This Pub is located in the center of Chester Vermont a quintessential New England town. It is a great place to stop after a day of skiing or as a stop on your way into town. I highly recommend Old engine oil beer and the fish pie but everything is good

Good service. Not a lot of non meat options. Have been here for dinner which was very good. Larger menu for dinner. Small dining area but staff goes out of their way to fit you in. Bar seating in dining room as well.

Classic Scottish food and a perfect selection of beers. I personally loved the ipa, but you can't go wrong with the classic belhaven beers. The steak pie stew has also inspired me to cook more stews at home. Also, they make a pretty awesome mashed potatoes. If you know anything about me, I always love mashed potatoes. If you're in... This is a great pub in the European sense of pub. Where locals gather at the bar in conversation with the owner and staff. Anyone can join in. Lots of Scottish pub dishes you won't find elsewhere and of course Scottish beers, ales and single malt whiskey Did I mention they all wear kilts?

In a town where food is expensive and unvaried, this Scottish pub was a great alternative for something different. The loaded baked potato is delicious and reasonably priced. The wait staff dressed in kilts added to the unique atmosphere.

We go to this pub whenever we're in Chester and in the mood for a cold pint. Of course, we always lean toward the traditional Irish menu offerings, bangers and mash, fin and haddie, colcannon--you can't go wrong with any of them. This pub is a bit of Scotland in the midst of the Green Mountain State. LUCKY for us,... More
