This is a great place to go for fun and non-pretentious atmosphere. The menu is varied with very reasonable prices. Good selection of beers, including Scottish selections. (Love the Belhaven's!)

Our B & B stay for the weekend was up in Shrewsbury, Vermont. We drove down to the great town of Chester and Rockingham, Vermont for the food, and a stop at The Vermont Country Store before heading back to Rhode Island a day later. This will be our second stop in for lunch at MacLaomainn's Scottish Pub while we... More

Food was good. However, no refill on regular coffee. Refill was $1.75 +tax. Plus extra slice of bread was a $1. Spent $33 for lunch. Owner had the nerve to come to our table with a lame story. She said that they use Kreurig K-cups which costs them a $1 per cup and her accountant would be upset if they... More

Passing through Chester, stopped for lunch and we're treated to a real authentic Scottish waitstaff in kilts and traditional dishes. I had Auld Reekie Stew which was a delicious hearty blend of cabbage, spicy sausage and melted cheese. Auld Reekie is a nickname for Edinburgh due to the many smokestacks in the 1700s. Met more Scots there having lunch who... More

Back at MacLaomainn's again, our go-to place when we're in Chester, which is often. I can't resist ordering the Auld Leekie Stew again, even though everything I've eaten here has been delicious. It is just so satisfying -- you must try it. The soup stock alone is amazing but then they pile in Incredibly delicious sausage, cabbage and cheese on... More

Stopped on our annual trip to Loon Mountain for the Scottish Games with some Band Mates. (Also stopped on our way home). This place is about as close to a genuine Scottish Pub you will find in the USA. They have a plethora of Scottish beers and their menu is not extensive, but delicious. The staff is super friendly and... More
