I know you go to a restaurant for the food, but I must mention an exceptional server named Katie, who made this a five star experience. Props to her lively personality that wasn’t too much, and definitely an amazing willingness to serve her customers. On...to the food… We wanted to eat “lighter” so opted for soup and salad. My choice was the white bean soup. It was nearly perfect and became absolutely perfect when upon request, Katie provided the grated Parmesan to sprinkle on top. I didn’t want it to end and wished to lick the bowl when it did!! My husband ordered the Vineyard Chowder- an over- the- top mix of seafood in a creamy, but not too heavy, delicious broth. It was a meal in a bowl and he barely had room for anything else. My summer salad and his Caesar salad were both excellent, but the taste of our soups still lingered large. There was great beer and drink selections and a cozy atmosphere, despite the historic high ceilings, and the bar being such a dominant part of the room. We went away very satisfied with our “light dinner”.More

I encourage you to try the seafood chowder - it’s excellent. Also, reservations recommended as it’s not a large space.

Found this gem while walking around town. The menu has something fir everyone. Beware that the portions are large! Their salads are so fresh! Great beer selections as well.

This restaurant came recommended by the clerk at the front desk of the hotel. Best recommendation I’ve ever received. The filet mignon is to die for. It was so tender and juicy. I would highly recommend trying this little treat. The ambience was wonderful and...the wait staff was friendly. If you’re in Burlington you must check this out.More

This restaurant was a minute away from the Hilton Garden Inn where we stayed which was very convenient. It didn’t have a whole lot of tables, so they require a credit card upon booking with a 24 hour cancellation policy. It felt understaffed but everyone...working there was doing their best and we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or food. We had the Gryphon Paloma to drink and it was excellent! The chees board was also great! I had the cod special which I liked. My husband had the fillet and daughter had the classic burger. My husband liked his, but said the burger was better. We had the mousse and sundae for dessert- both good. The inside of the restaurant was nice with a great looking bar. I would recommend the Gryphon.More

It was a chilly night! I had a Caesar and the Mussels which were very good. My husband had white bean soup and the duck. No complaints from either of us. Distancing was good, masks were worn therefore it was a nice comfortable dinner out

Just had a wonderful meal in a cool building. Service was excellent and recommendations perfect. Had the Sesame Ginger Chicken Salad and the Spring Gimlet...both perfect. My husband had one of the most tender Filets WE have ever had...yes, I had to have a bite!

Had an early dinner before a show. The menu had a large number of appetizers and salads but only 4 or 5 entrees. Two were steak; there was a salmon and a risotto. We had an onion soup and a filet. Both were excellent and...the service was quite good. I had a cocktail and it was properly made. The hostess didn’t seat most of the new arrivals but simply pointed to a table for them. I found that a little odd.More

We had dinner here, with a two-year granddaughter, on a cold winter night. We found the restaurant warm and inviting and child friendly. Even thought there is not a children’s menu they happily accommodated our special meal requests. The restaurant is not very big, but...there is nice spacing between tables to offer some measure of private conversation space. Lots of diverse food choices and our family enjoyed soups, salads, burgers, and sandwiches.More

Food is great. Service is average. Limited seating, reservations recommended during peak hours. I would dine here again. The seafood chowder is very good on a cold day.
