We were trying to find a spot for dinner but hadn’t made any reservations . The restaurant was accommodating and were seated right away . They have outdoor patio seating in the front and back with well distanced tables. The server was friendly and were...served our drinks and meal within no time . The dough was flavorful and the toppings were amazing . The large flatbread was enough for two of use. Highly recommended if you are in the area .More

As common with the pandemic, we ordered take-out. This was by far the best pizza and salad we have had in over six months. The tomato sauce and herbs were so fresh and flavorful, the cheeses top of the line and the crust like a...french baguette. The salad was truly farm to table fresh, the tahini dressing outstanding. The takeout was topped off with the friendliest service from start to finish. We drove a half hour to pick this pizza up and had to zap it when we got home - it was more than worth the effort to get this dinner.More

This place is a bait and switch shop. We live in a high-risk household (during COVID) and called ahead to ask if they offered curbside pickup - a friendly woman told us they did, so we placed an order. When we arrived to pickup, we...called in and some angry guy answered, refused to bring us our food because "we don't offer curbside pickup." We canceled our order and went to Pizza Hut instead; couldn't get beer but the pizza tasted better anyway. Plus Pizza Hut actually has curbside pickup - 1-2 minutes after we showed up, a friendly employee with a mask and gloves put our pizza in the trunk and we finally got to have the dinner that American Flatbread lied about.More

We visited in June and ate outside. They had a safe covid 19 system. The pizza was delicious and we will definitely be back

If you love pizza and Burlington then no trip is complete unless you indulge in some American Flatbread. They have amazing outdoor seating set up. They are so efficient and safe that it's crazy. A great job is done by everyone involved. The drinks were...fantastic, the pizza is quite possibly the best ever, service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfect. They do everything right at AF. I can't wait to come back.More

We loved the outdoor seating area here-very well thought out and cute. I had the wagon wheel pizza on gluten free crust and was blown away. It was by FAR the best gluten free crust I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot!...They had a good selection of Zero Gravity beer and a few fun options for "brunch" including bloody marys with a "beer back". I also really appreciated that they offered half pours of their beer. I wish there was one of these near us!More

We were bummed we couldn’t sit outside. We missed our ferry so by the time we entered Vermont American Flatbread was closing☹️but we were able to order their sweet sausage pizza and it was perfectly balanced w sweetness and salt.

Great outdoor patio for socially distanced seating. Delicious pizza and I liked that you could split the pizza with different toppings. One was a perfect size for 2 people. The beer on tap was Zero Gravity which was good. They are also being very careful...with the COVID rules.More

We ordered a pizza from American Flatbread on May 14th, and accidentally ordered in Burlington when we intended to order in Middlebury. Assuming that it was our error and the restaurant was closed, we ordered food elsewhere. About 45 minutes later, they called us to...inform us that they were closing soon and asking if we would be there soon - we realized our mistake, apologized, and had someone swing by the other location to pick up the food. They offered to refund the order, but we insisted that they didn't, admitted our mistake, and were happy to pay. When our friends arrived to pick up the food (a large pizza and a 64 oz growler of beer), they gave them the food AND issued a full refund. This is probably the best customer service I've ever received - they were so kind and gracious, and I would highly recommend going here for that reason alone. We just ate the pizza for lunch, along with the beer. The pizza (maple fennel sausage and pepperoni) was incredible, and the beer (Conehead IPA) was wonderful as well. Top pick for Burlington and for Middlebury, and thank you to the kind gentleman who gave us the food last night!More

Definitely need a group of 12 to make a reservation. Has to be either an early lunch or early dinner (5 PM) reservation. Enjoy!

Yes, if you go before 8p. Not because it is raucous or anything - it just gets very crowded. The menu has food that will appeal to a kid if any age. Enjoy- make sure you try some of the local beers they have on tap- great... More
