Penny Cluse offers the best breakfast in Burlington! The lunch is amazing as well. There's often a pretty long wait, but it's well worth it. Try the salmon sandwich with their homemade potato salad for lunch. Wow! We live in Burlington and that may be my favorite thing to eat for lunch in town. Joe Biden and Patrick Leahy just... More

My favorite breakfast spot for many years. Qua.ity is excellent and homemade with a little twist. From a mushroom Reuben with homemade 1100 island and the bestiaries salad that had me coming back the next day to a de.icious herbed gravy over buttermilk biscuits. The peanut ginger tofu or the "penny clues" is delish! Can't go wrong here.

We went there for lunch, which was so good we went back the next day to try the breakfast. Both were excellent and soooo much food. We saved part of the lunch for the next day's lunch. Breakfast was almost as big and it was all we could do to eat it.

The breakfast line was long, but we waited to get a table. It was worth the wait, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The bucket of spuds was awesome and we shared it between the whole table. I loved the special which was some kind of banana bread French toast and it was awesome. Everyone at... More

Had a very late breakfast here - the wait was almost 2 hours when we arrived so we put our name in and explored Church Street. Got back in an hour and a half and a table was available. The breakfast burrito was very good and served with black beans. Home fries are delicious as were the biscuits and banana... More

I lived in Burlington for a few years, and regularly dream of their amazing orzo pasta salad. It's served hot and packed with feta, seasoned spinach, kalamata olives, capers and tomatoes. It's garlicky and delicious. And also, all of the rest of the food is phenomenal. It's the place everyone dreams of returning to. It's the place your friends text... More

And get there early for breakfast on the weekend if you don't like to wait. Really. Just go. I'm supposed to write 100 characters. Ok: the fruit plate is a work of art.

I had the meat pie yesterday and it melted in my mouth. A local place, run by local people here in Burlington. Aways been a favorite place to go to eat. You will always love your experience. Small, crowded and warm.
