About
Sweetwaters is an American Bistro with a unique twist on your favorite eats. For over 40 years, we've been serving fantastic cuisine with local ingredients in a family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of Burlington, on the corner of College and Church Streets on the charming Church Street Marketplace. Architecturally interesting, Sweetwaters is housed in what was the original site of the Burlington Trust Company. Built in the 1880s, the building retains its original mouldings, cornerstone, clock, and architectural appointments. With a full bar, extensive menu, unique interior, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Sweetwaters certainly have something for everybody. We serve lunch and dinner

Excellent dinner location in downtown Burlington. Great selection of dinner options and nice drink selection. Helpful and friendly staff. Great meal that was reasonably price. Restaurant was crowded on a week night but clean and well kept. Highly recommend

Wonderful location in Church Street Markeplace with outside seating availability. They were very obviously short staffed so the service was a little slow but the menu choices and food quality more than made up for it. Unfortunately none of our preferred bourbons were available from...the bar.More

Outstanding!!! We started with Mexican Street Fries. We’ve never had anything like them. Completely unique and definitely something we’d get again. I had the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese. The pork was tender and juicy and I loved the Mac & cheese. The star of...the dinner was the Sesame Crusted Tuna. We both loved it and look forward to having it again!More

Stopped in for a late night dinner on the patio and really enjoyed the friendly service, ambiance of the street scene and the yummy food. We had the poutine, French onion soup and BBQ brisket in a really good tangy sauce with fries, a decent...cole slaw and corn bread. The brisket is a bit too thinly sliced and the corn bread was not great but overall the food was delicious and the heaters kept us happily outside on a cool evening. Certainly worth a visit!More

We dined mid-week, so no waiting. Food was fresh and they made me a special salad not offered on their regular menu. We both enjoyed our meals and found the prices reasonable.

Our hotel recommended Sweetwaters. Both my husband and I got the sesame encrusted tuna. So delicious!!! Our server, Meghan was excellent!

My wife and I walked to the Church Street pedestrian area from our hotel, and selected Sweetwaters for dinner. We had a 25 minute wait on a Sunday evening for outdoor seating. There was a band playing nearby, and we could enjoy listening to the...music. I enjoyed the beef brisket, corn bread, crispy fries, and vinegar-based coleslaw, with a glass of Cotes du Rhone (Tempranillo). For dessert, I opted for the delicious key lime torte. Server Ally was friendly and efficient.More

I like this place. The server staff were very accommodating and fun. It was hard to tell if the focus was more on food or drinks but both were decent.

We came to the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. It was not fall. It did take a while to be served. I can highly recommend the pulled pork nachos. I cannot recommend the Caesar salad. We also had the apple salad which was good. I...would not recommend getting the chicken. It was clearly a pre-cooked piece sitting around that was somehow warmed before it ended up on our salad. My daughter did not touch hers and the waitress did takeoff the charge. While that was nice, what we really wanted was a piece of grilled chicken on and otherwise boring Caesar salad. I would also say the Sweet potato fries looked amazing and I had food envyMore

Hi Jane, sorry for the delay in my response but it looks like you got great support from the community. We do not take reservations for groups of that size on Saturday evenings.
