From my first visit to Vermont with my wife to her home state, she's always wanted (and still does) to go to Beansie's Bus at Battery Park. She's told me stories how her dad walked her there from their home and held her hand as she walked the top of the the two foot (or so) stone wall separating the... More

I can't pass up any kind of eatery that's been in operation since 1941 like Beansie's. My daughter's great, great aunt used to work there in the 1950s :o) Very inexpensive grill food. We had Michigans (chili dogs) which hit the spot. LOVE the fries.

We had a combination of the usual fried offerings, all served quickly and cheerfully. The fries were great, but the Vermonter dessert (maple doughnut with vanilla soft serve) was the highlight of a four day trip filled with good food.

I grew up in Burlington and my father would often bring us to Beansie's for Michigan Dogs and french fries. We loved them! I'm happy to report that 35 years later Beansie's still delivers! The french fries are perfection and the dogs are as tasty, unique, and a little spicy like I remembered. Take a walk in Battery Park and... More

This place has been there longer than I've been alive. I've been hitting this place for almost 50 years. Hands down, the best French fries ever! The cheese burgers and hot dogs are also excellent, but don't let your cardiologist know you eat here. Once you've decided you are just going way off your diet, this is the place to... More

In the area for a road trip and a quick stop at Trader Joe's. Stumbled upon this place and the smell just kinda pushed us that way! Loved the fries, loved the burgers even more. Real meat, real condiments. Real good junk food, if you're into that kinda stuff. Prices are good as well. A must if in the area!

We stopped here just for an ice cream! However, as we ate our ice cream we enjoyed the aroma of the french fries being made so much we ordered a large to share. Delicious!!!!!!!! We then got one cheeseburger and shared it as well (after all we had just come for an ice cream). LOL This place is great and... More

I like it but I try to limit my intake for health reasons. The food is great if you like homemade style greasy fast food like you get at a snack bar. They have the best fries around! The bus sits next to a beautiful park overlooking Lake Champlain. There is a playground for the kids and a theater for... More

I feel like a scrooge because everyone always raves about Beansie's, but my experience was that for a food truck it was pretty par for the course. It took longer than I thought it would to get the food and although it was reasonably priced, it wasn't fabulous.

Fast and friendly service at this Vermont institution. I know its hard to mess up on these two menu items, but combined with friendly service and a location just off Battery Park and you ave a winner. Great place to bring kids
