Wow! Waiting to fly out of BTV we decided to go downtown for lunch. Just happen to park across the street and decided to check it out. Margaritas, tacos, and nachos were out of sight! Now we have to get on a plane.

Some restaurants just look a little plain from the outside and you somehow must be brave to give it a try. Other than the fact that it looks more like an old diner this tiny little spot is a must go. There is no fancy presentation but the staff is extremely nice patient and helpful when it comes to making... More

When eating out I often like to consider whether the restaurant is triple D worthy, and in my opinion El Cortijo definitely fits the bill. Tucked on a side street off of Burlington's popular Church Street this Mexican diner puts out some tasty food. Their tacos are very specialized with each protein option paired with a unique blend of greens/vegetables... More

We loved this restaurant !!!! Margarita and sangria were best I've had in a long time. We had enchiladas and fish tacos and they were great ---- on par with what we've had in New Mexico. Service was good and prices were reasonable for Burlington. This was 1 of the best parts of our trip and we will be back.

I have been here several times and I love it. Everything is delicious, from the chips to the burritos and tacos. My favorite is the sweet potato burrito, I didn't think I would like it but everything was perfectly balanced. The drinks there are awesome and well worth the money. The service is always great, the space is small but... More

We visited Burlington to ride the bike trail and see some of the sites. We found this little diner type restaurant right around the corner from Church St. We sat at the counter, ordered margaritas, tacos and a burrito. Food was delicious, drinks good and the service quick and attentive. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised by the overall... More

We eat here almost every time we come to Burlington (about once a year). It is one of our go-to restaurants, with great farm-to-table Mexican-inspired cuisine in a rehabbed diner car. We ate here on Thursday 7/21 with a local couple who also swears by this restaurant. We ordered chips, salsa, and queso. I love their different salsas, and although... More

Tacos, Burritos, the sauces, the service -- all great. Sat at counter for lunch and got the ginger beer as well. Prices in line with big city outfits. Can't wait to try more on the menu.

El Cortijo serves exceptional, inventive, super fresh Tacos! There are several super delicious vegetarian fillings, fish, chicken and meat as well! There are several fresh made margarita choices that should not be missed! If you still have room at the end of your meal, try one of the spicy chocolate Brownies for dessert!
