Ate outdoors and got Zero Gravity beer and food. The crispy chicken sandwich was so so good! Loved both the beers I tried. You can get small pours too if you want to try a beer. Quick and casual great for families
Two of us, out for a nice dinner for talking and enjoying food and pleasant atmosphere. All expectation exceeded. When I Ordered "Franks Crispy Chicken" I learned that Frank is the owner and chief (He was pointed out buzzing around the kitchen) . And that...the items on the menu are his signature dishes. My wife ordered the Tofu on a bed of rice (I don't remember the name of the dish), and the tofu was really amazing. The staff were all wonderful as well and made us feel relaxed and comfortable- and had great guidance on what to order. We then ordered one Dark Chocolate Moose and found one serving perfect and extraordinary. It will be a reference point for Chocolate Moose I suspect.More
We visited here on a week day for lunch and we had great experience. One of us had the beet salad and the other had the seafood rice bowl special. Both were very creative and tasty. Our server was very good also. We will definitely...return.More
First time trying this place, not bad. Food was solid, good drink selection, server Sam was very pleasant and did a great job.
Like they say in Ireland, the "craic" was off. For me it started with the hostess, not horrible, but certainly not happy...that anyone was there... could have just been a bad day.
Worth trying... we'll give it another shot.More
My one star is for the fact that there was a server and she was efficient and pleasant. The restaurant itself gives nothing. $5.00 for bread and butter is only served with the bread in the first basket. After that, eat it dry or keep...asking for more. I ordered a cod dish. When it came it consisted of a piece of cod about 3 inches long and one inch wide and was badly overcooked. A tired looking old potato sat in the bottom of the dish in unremarkable broth. I filled up on bread since my mushroom appetizer consisted mostly of corn and broth. I understand the bill for the entire meal was close to $700.00. Never again.More
Went for an early dinner on a Saturday (5:45) wait staff was disorganized, 2 glasses of wine and a draft took 15 minutes. Placed our orders based on our 3rd person who had eaten there 2 weeks ago for a 6:30 dinner on Thursday. She...said the burgers were awesome and the fries that cam with were even better. Imagine our surprise when our $11 burgers showed up on small basic burger buns and the burgers were even smaller. She questioned the server on where the fries were, and was pretty rudely told that was only with the lunch burger, so you must have been here for lunch.
Food was average, but for the price, not worth it to go back. The tuna poke was really good.More
The Great Northern has an indoor and outdoor seating area. We were there for lunch and chose to sit outside.
With good service, we ordered the haddock sandwich, a chickpea burger and the beet salad with fried tofu. All were really tasty and well presented....Slightly on the pricey side, but the quality justified it.More
We started with Dirty French fries - which are fabulously unique - dressed with chili aioli, spicy pickles and spicy pork - and which disappeared instantly! Our entrees included the scallop and fried chicken specials, beet salad, seviche, and arctic char - all of which...were interestingly prepared and delicious. The children's menu gave equally wonderful options - noodle bowl and hamburgers. Service was attentive and helpful - reservations are essential - especially with 10 people!!More
