Buckley's is a "special occasion" restaurant, because it is pricey. But also worth it. I really enjoyed the rabbit, cooked before my eyes by the magician, Michael Fuller. Everyone should eat here at least once in their life.

Hadn't been to TJB in a number of years and went to celebrate 3 birthdays at our table. The evening and food made it quite special. The Trout Tartelette and the Crab Cake were out of the ordinary and the scallops were perfectly seared and...More

Consistently creative fine dining by Brattleboro's top chef in a cosy atmosphere. One of a kind restaurant in an old railway car. A very special treat.

Come prepared for a cozy, calming, contemplative couple hours and bask in some of the tastiest food and drink you may have ever enjoyed. Prices are not on the menu nor are they offered while the house "specials" are being presented by the wait staff;...More

A 20 seat place and we asked for and got the table right by the open kitchen. It was fun watching them prepare the meal. The staff was very good and pleasant. The food was prepared well and was really great. The prices have risen...More

The restaurant is very small with just 20 seats so everyone is close to the action in the kitchen which is nice. The menu is small with choices of 4 in each category but we did find that each of the four options were tempting...More

We have eaten at TJ's a few times and every time have come away thinking... "That was amazing". The restaurant is small, 20 or less seats in a cozy old railroad dining car, but don't let that fool you. The food is a joy on...More

I got a nosebleed when I saw the bill. I expected this because the menu is "spoken", another way to say you can't review prices before you order, so be prepared for $45 entrees and so on. I am guessing about this because the total...More

We booked a reservation based on the recommendation of local friends. Our palettes were delighted by the taste sensation. And quaint, romantic atmosphere defies description - at least not under my pen. We weren’t all that hungry so we shared the crab cake appetizer, swordfish...More
