The restaurant is small and you have a good view of the chef. The quality of the ingredients is first-rate. The preparation is fine, but could use a boost in flavor - wonderful, very fresh salad, the rabbit and sausage stuffed rabbit leg was out...of the ordinary. Be sure to leave a lot of time - service is very friendly, but paced luxuriously.More

Had a lovely meal with friends in this chic and charming space. Food and service were very good, but we were a bit shocked when we got the bill. I understand the need to charge more when dishes are prepared to order and the dining...room is this small, but $50/entree struck me as outrageous, even including a green salad, when compared to similar (or better) meals I've had locally. There are no printed menus/prices, so don't be too shy to ask! Still, for a once-in-a-lifetime special occasion, I have no regrets.More

As always the food and service were excellent. Quality is high. Four couples had dinner and all of us enjoyed everything we had. MUST make reservations.

If you want an amazing array of locally grown organic flavors, then look no further. Book in advance, it’s cosy but comfy and friendly. You get to see the team in action in the kitchen, it’s impressive stuff! Wish they had a branch in Brooklyn!...We will definitely return.More

What a beautiful set up in this old train car with an open kitchen! We were a little confused when there was no menu, and a little surprised at the cost, but it was definitely worth the splurge

Once again, Michael Fuller wowed me with the rabbit. Perfect meat and terrific salad. Service was just right. High prices mean infrequent visits, but once or twice a year is fine.

Had dinner with two couples, everything cooked and prepared to perfection. Limited menu, choice of 4 appetizers, 4 entres, and 4 deserts. Each person choose a different item, and all raved about the food. Very small seating area, maybe 7 tables and no more than...20 seats. So make a reservation, don't expect to come and be seated without a reservation. Not a cheap night out, but truly a special meal. If you're a foodie make the trip to Brattleboro, you will not be disappointed. This is only the second establishment in 10 years that I have given 5 stars.More

I've had several meals at T.J. Buckley's over many years. They have always surpassed rhe expected, and gone one step further. The presentation, as well as the menu, is unique. They excel in small deails. I observed them preparing several salads individually with great attention...paid to placing each ingredient in it's appropriate place. That's another fun aspect of dining at T.J.'s. One can watch all food preparation. All this, of course, would not mean much unless the food reflected all this effort. It does. Every single meal I have eaten there has been absolutely delishious, different, and totally memorable.More

Buckley's is a "special occasion" restaurant, because it is pricey. But also worth it. I really enjoyed the rabbit, cooked before my eyes by the magician, Michael Fuller. Everyone should eat here at least once in their life.

Hadn't been to TJB in a number of years and went to celebrate 3 birthdays at our table. The evening and food made it quite special. The Trout Tartelette and the Crab Cake were out of the ordinary and the scallops were perfectly seared and...yet moist. Desserts were excellent - the apricot/pear tarte with ginger gelato - with a candle - oh my. And FYI, they do accept credit cards. Earlier reviews said they did not. It all works beautifully.More
