We never miss a trip to Peter Havens on our visits to Brattleboro. Limited menu all with excellent tastes and all fresh. I chose the filet and my wife the fish, both done perfect and served hot, you could cut the meat with a fork... you'll always see us going back, maybe we'll try the new patio.

Good looking restaurant ,romantic and trendy. The food is tasty except the meat quite hard and the vegetables not enough cooked.very acid california wine to be avoided .

Peter Havens is my favorite restaurant in Brattleboro. The food is consistently terrific. It is not the cheapest place in town, but that is a good thing!

This was a most delightful discovery. Our great evening started with the bartender who knew what she was doing and continued with our terrific server Emily who was knowledgable, most pleasant, and full of information. The menu was creative but not too much so and the food was excellent.

Dinner was well prepared from salad to dessert. The atmosphere was relaxed and upscale. Both trout and swordfish were cooked nicely with local veggies and delicious risotto. The apple slices with almond paste over filo with freshly made vanilla Ice cream was a dessert worth savoring. Even the decaf was excellent.

I love this restaurant. Such great food. Such great service. Such great ambience, white table clothes, service. So classy. Reasonable prices, but good value for what you pay. Fabulous, very carefully chosen wine lists One of, if not The best, in Brattleboro.

Chef owned and operated and consistantly serving the best food in Brattleboro Vt. Not inexpensive, however easly worth the money for a great; flavorful evening of fine dining. Don't miss the lamb shank if it's available, and the desserts are heavenly............

This was our first trip to Brattleboro after passing through town many times on I-91, but we discovered not only a bustling downtown district but also a nice selection of eateries. Peter Havens was our dinner choice based in part on comments made on this site about how great the bartender is, but this bistro offers the full package of... More

Excellent service, mouth watering food, relaxed ambiance. We went to celebrate a special occasion with a couple of good friends. The duck, salmon, and swordfish entrées were outstanding. We all had deserts, each also outstanding. Creamy mousse, fresh crem brûlée , and house made pastries. We were in heaven!

Peter Havens offers consistently delicious dinners, a pleasant atmosphere, and professional and friendly staff. This is the restaurant where we celebrate family birthdays -- and in the summer we also stop in for informal suppers on the deck (simpler menu, more casual vibe). It's the restaurant we recommend to guests from out of town.

Peter Havens provides an elegant but relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy chef/owner Zach Corbin's accomplished cuisine. The menu has French and Italian influences (always house-made pasta and gnocchi!) But always has Zach's own culinary flare. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the intimate setting and often enjoy dining at our bar, where we serve innovative and exciting specialty cocktails. Our wine list is eclectic and ever-changing, with an emphasis on natural wines from France, Italy, and the US. Reservations are recommended.
