The Whetstone has sorted out its staffing deficiencies by making the roof top self service bar. At times, it can be hard to get that attention of the bar staff. The dining area below is working very hard. The food is mediocre at best but the beers are downright amazing.

Pluses would be the cool location and the building itself. Friendly waitress however slow... Took a good 15-20 minutes to get the beers we ordered and they weren't so cold when we did receive them. Other negatives... Seemed unsanitary with the lack of air flow in the restaurant, not to mention the flies. The Mac n cheese in the menu... More

This was hands down the best place we went to for drinks and eats! The view is literally OUT OF THIS WORLD beautiful!!! We ate and sipped craft beers on the outdoor too deck and it was amazing! The staff was so very kind and pleasant. I will definatly visit again every time I am in town!

The restaurant has an outstanding view and it's unfortunate that the food does not match. We enjoyed the several a couple of guest taps but the Avacado Melt sandwich was bland and the fries cold and oily. They were polite enough to subtract the sandwich from the tab without asking, but I rather the sandwich meet the expectation. So go... More

Rooftop deck overlooking the river with live music on Thursday night...fantastic atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and quick. Only downside was that certain beers and food you had to order downstairs and bring up with you. They do have beer on tap and a bar menu upstairs though. Whetstoner IPA was my favorite on tap. Buffalo chicken flatbread had my... More

Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery combines a large casual restaurant and open air rooftop bier garten, with a small experimental nano-brewery, all located right on the Connecticut River in Vermont. We offer an "inspired pub fare" style menu, with everything from small bites for a few bucks to full entrees. Along with one, always changing unique craft beer of their own they offer dozens of guest craft beers on draft and specialty drinks, all in an amazing waterfront location. The unique round building has been restored into a beautiful fire-lit space with a contemporary and industrial vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining, perched above the river, alongside a steel bridge and nestled between the green mountains make the amazing location a "don't miss" on any visit through Vermont.
