We had the "dinner and a movie" special at the Latchis hotel and chose the Whetstone as our "dinner" place. It was a great choice. Our server was very helpful and gave us a couple of samples of their craft beers to try and explained some of the differences in the brews. We both had the meatloaf dinner which was... More

We had a nice table outside overlooking the Connecticut River where we could watch boaters floating down the river & hikers crossing the bridge, and look out over the clear water! Waitress was delightful, as was the rest of the staff, offering suggestions about menu items and beer. We chose the ribs and fish and chips - both were good... More

This restaurant sits right on the river with porches, roof deck and inside seating with wonderful views at the Windows. The food is pub food but with just enough of a twist to make it fun as well as tasty. There is even a computer beer menu and they brew beer on site. Nice view, interesting tasty food, nice service,... More

We went a little out of our way when on a road trip to visit this place after finding it online. It was well worth it. All of our food was delicious. We especially liked the Cheddar Ale soup. Very cool that they have a line marking the border of Vermont and New Hampshire running through the restaurant. Would definitely... More

I was looking for craft beers all through vacation and traveling with the under 18 crowd limited me to brew pubs and the like. Looking at this one online, Their menu and beer list looked great and it wasn't really off my route at all. It was clean, service was great and timely as was the food!! The pretzels were... More

Unfortunately, our dining experience at the Whetstone was one where it started very poorly, improved marginally during the meal, and only a strong dessert and coffee experience save it from a terrible rating. We arrived at 7pm on a Thursday evening and were told that there would be a 40 minutes wait for outside seating while inside was only a... More

We stopped here for the brewery and, in that, we were not disappointed. Whetstone only brewed for themselves, in small batches, and they clearly enjoy that small status as they are fun and experimental in their offerings. However, the food was a wonderful surprise. The menu was inspired, the success were exceptional and the wait staff was timely and professional.... More

Started with a drink on the top Biergarten. What a beutiful view of the river and a view over to New Hampshire. Moved to the downstairs patio for dinner. The ribs were sooooo good, and the sweet potato fries were really crispy. All food we had was large serving and really tasty. A nice selection of local beers and you... More

We went here to eat when we were in Brattleboro Vermont. Good craft beers and burgers. Nice view of the water. There was a point to stand in the restaurant that one foot was in Vermont and one foot in New Hampshire.

Description
Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery combines a large casual restaurant and open air rooftop bier garten, with a small experimental nano-brewery, all located right on the Connecticut River in Vermont. We offer an "inspired pub fare" style menu, with everything from small bites for a few bucks to full entrees. Along with one, always changing unique craft beer of their own they offer dozens of guest craft beers on draft and specialty drinks, all in an amazing waterfront location. The unique round building has been restored into a beautiful fire-lit space with a contemporary and industrial vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining, perched above the river, alongside a steel bridge and nestled between the green mountains make the amazing location a "don't miss" on any visit through Vermont.
