I've been here several times. Always great beer and food. However today asked bartender for apps ignored us. Watched guys next to us ask for food same reaction. Sorry guys but bartender was not busy and was not attentive at all left to eat elsewhere.

Pub lovers, treat yourself to a sample of flights and bring a friend to enjoy this beautiful deck! The onion rings were amazing and so were the burgers. Happy we stopped here on our way out of town.

On a recent trip to Vermont and staying in Brattleboro, the hotel recommended the Whetstone Restaurant and Brewery. It was a great find. It is obviously very good as it was packed with locals from the area. The menu is a traditional pub style food...More

We go to Whetstone regularly, mostly for the lovely view. The waitstaff is quite friendly and always has great knowledge of their menu. (For example, suggesting the mac and cheese for my young child who adored it.) The food is local and fresh, nice choice...More

Very easy! Just get off exit 1, turn right and continue straight until you reach the traffic light downtown (about 2 miles). Whetstone is right on the water, at the bridge to NH. There’s a parking lot on either side of the... More

Due to VT law, if an animal (not used for service) needs to walk through an establishment it is not permitted inside. To get to the deck you would have to walk through the restaurant. Sorry

While Whetstone does not take advance reservations, they do offer “call ahead seating” and / or you can get on any wait list directly through the Yelp app as well.

Description
Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery combines a large casual restaurant and open air rooftop bier garten, with a small experimental nano-brewery, all located right on the Connecticut River in Vermont. We offer an "inspired pub fare" style menu, with everything from small bites for a few bucks to full entrees. Along with an always changing unique craft beer list and dozens of guest craft beers on draft and specialty drinks, all in an amazing waterfront location. The unique round building has been restored into a beautiful fire-lit space with a contemporary and industrial vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining, perched above the river, alongside a steel bridge and nestled between the green mountains make the amazing location a "don't miss" on any visit through Vermont.
