I'd heard good things, but was disappointed. Our server was not attentive. She was actually checking her phone for 10 minutes, in plain sight, immediately after we asked for the bill. My burger and fries were good, but my husband's mac and cheese was dry,...bland, and not cheesy at all.More

Dropped in as we were driving through. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips and I enjoyed my VT cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Good place for some local charm.

The Marina used to be my favorite lunch restaurant. Terrific view, nice wait staff, formerly had extensive menu. Now, they have cut way back on hours, days open, and the menu is much more limited. Bar scene used to be good, but the bartender, he...is loud. There are other lunch places in town with better food.More

We were visiting nearby and wanted to stop here for lunch. The restaurant is rather large with several areas to dine at. They have a full bar area with several high tops to dine at, and at least 3 different dining areas. We were lucky...enough to get a table with a water view. For starters, I had the lobster bisque which tasted really good but personally I like my bisque more on the thicker side and this one was not so, in addition I also found it lacking in lobster. My girlfriend had the spinach, artichoke dip and she definitely enjoyed it. For our lunch I had the Moroccan stew which was a vegetarian dish made up of butternut squash, peppers, onions, garlic, chickpea and corn. My girlfriend had the spinach and artichoke dip served with chips. She enjoyed the dip, it was tasty. She had the fish and chips which seemed to be made fresh. They tasted so good. For dessert we had the peach and berry pie which was really good, not overly sweet.More

I had high hopes for this being a seafood restaurant but after trying a few dishes I found their seafood to be mediocre and chewy. Had much better seafood at the 99, and better service.

Dinner for two. Had heard good things about the place. But the menu was very limited. We searched for something good and ordered the Moroccan stew. Veggie stew with some pita bread. This was one of their main dishes. It was just OK. But as...a main dish, still lacking. It could have used some spice ....some Kalamata olives? Lemon wedges? It was just plain. We were disappointed. Given the limited menu, don't think we are coming back here.More

We had a lovely lunch in a delightful setting. He had a burger with Vermont cheddar and bacon. The burger was cooked to perfection and so were the side of onion rings - crisp and not greasy. They came with a side of honey mustard...for dipping which was also excellent. She had spinach and mushroom quiche which was also excellent - not too heavy and with a delicious flaky crust. The quiche came with a salad which was also very good, nice and fresh. Portions were generous. This was our first visit to Brattleboro and to the Marina - we will definitely be back!More

I have been going to The Marina for 25 years. Lately the experience is not so good. The waitstaff is very good, especially Lise. But the kitchen gets my order wrong EVERY TIME. I am quite specific with my order. The kitchen always fails. But...the view is terrific, especially when you sit outdoors on a warm day.More

The Marina was buzzing on the last Saturday night in August. When we arrived we were advised that it would be 35-40 minutes until an outdoor table became available, so we sat beneath some external tenting and enjoyed some beers that I bought from the...take-away bar inside. After 35 minutes we were seated outdoors with a perfect view of the river, and enjoyed how it transformed under the setting sun. The outdoor seating is very comfortable, sufficiently separated from neighbors, and completely covered. As for the food, the salmon with mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked and showed subtle grill marks. The ciopollino, which sounded like it would be similar to a zuppa a pesce or a bouillabaisse (large bowls of broth with piles of diverse seafood in them) disappointed in terms of its relatively small size, but was tasty , with small bits of seafood and some mussels in a tomato-based sauce. The server did not hesitate to remove the dish when I complained , and quickly replaced it with an item off the special menu, a huge summer salad of greens, goat cheese, carrots, walnuts, blueberries and strawberries. Outstanding! The one disappointing dish did not put that much of a damper on a tasty meal in absolutely gorgeous surroundings served by a capable staff.More

Very poor service. Young kid waited on us and we had to ask to get utensils several times and napkins. Took forever to get food and our server forgot to put our order in originally. Food was just ok.

Very nice community type restaurant. You can sit outside on the patio overlooking a lake which is part of a nearby river. Great seating on the outside section but if it is late in the afternoon , the sun will be beating down on You....I had the fish-and-chips and the fish seem to be fresh. I found this quite different and better than the fish-and-chips that you get in the commercial type restaurantsMore

Great food. There were four of us, between us we had a beef burger, bison burger, Turkey burger and shrimp. Everyone agreed, 5 stars. We sat outside overlook the river, which was very nice. The entire wait’s was very nice and attentive. Highly recommend!

We found this restaurant by accident and it was great. Nothing fancy as it also serves as a boat launch. The curry chicken salad was delicious and the server was great. They do require a vax card which is strange since you can be vaxed...and still have the virus, but owners choice. Nice cocktails and on the water.More

We stopped for a late lunch on a gorgeous day. I LOVE that they ask for your vaccination card. We sat outdoors and it was perfect. Yes, service was a bit slow, but that is commonplace these days, but the server was lovely and did...a great job. My husband had pulled pork, I had fish tacos. Both were very good. I had the sauce on the side for the tacos. That was a good idea because I found it to be very spicy. We will definitely stop here again.More
