We wish we could move this place to Florida. We eat here when visiting friends and family. The sandwiches and salads are delicious. Best bread ever. Bring your computer. No one rushes you, and the staff is friendly. Plus, you can walk around a REAL downtown area with lovely stores....not the usual stores one sees everywhere. A real gem.

This local chain is a great meeting and hangout spot in downtown Brattleboro for breakfast or lunch. A variety of offerings such as bagel & wrap sandwiches, smoothies and coffees, baked goods and soups should satisfy most patrons. Great for people watching, either from the sidewalk tables or the spacious, light and airy dining area. Also, great spot for kids... More

I used to go to their restaurant in Keene. However, they changed their menu and decor. I was pleasantly surprised when we went to their Brattleboro location. Their old menu and decor style pleased me. Great bagels and service in a great atmosphere.

We were just passing through this little town and happened upon an open parking spot. We decided on a whim to stop. We headed to Sam's Outfitters, which should be an attraction listing of its own, and then headed to the Works for lunch. We had three different soup/sandwich combos. The clam chowder was good, as was the chili. They... More

My wife and I stopped for a coffee break at the Works and found the place to be friendly and the cafe clean. We opted for ice coffee which was delicious and refreshing. The atmosphere was great. i would recommend this as a stop for breakfast or lunch. They go out of their way to accommodate your drink and dining... More

Stopped for breakfast, had eggs on sourdough with guacamole. Bread was fabulous, guan was good and everything was reasonably priced. Nice selection of teas.

The works is consistent in its service of a good hot breakfast, lunch, salads and special sandwiches. The location and free wifi make it a center for meetings, after work out powwows and a warm seat for those who need it in the winter.

We were heading out of town for the holiday weekend, and we stopped in to grab some coffee and bagels on our way out. My bagel and latte were pretty good, but nothing particularly special. I wish they had some more adventurous cream cheese flavors or something. Not bad for a quick breakfast to go.
