Over several years we've gotten their excellent desserts, great breads, and we never seem to stray from our favorite sandwhich, the Chicken Dagwood.

Casual, organic ingredients, vegetarian options. Small seating area at the rear with about 10 smallish tables. Perfect for singles, couples. Don't go with a big group. You order up front at the bakery.

Great place to get a coffee and baked goods. You can sit and relax with your company and enjoy your surroundings. Also have other foods for lunch.

Amy's is one of the best places to eat in Brattleboro, Vermont. The food is always great, fresh, and the service is fantastic.

My wife and three daughters love this restaurant. Me, dad, not so much. No real complaint. It just seems that the food if light, wifty, insubstantial for what the charge (dad's frugal streak talking). However, the (always) homemade bread and deserts are great.

The GM at the Latchis Hotel recommended Amy's for lunch and mentioned the fresh chicken sandwich, which we learned was called the Chicken Dagwood. Fresh chicken with avocado, bacon, cranberry chutney on fresh baked bread was indeed wonderful. The tuna stuff avocado salad was yummy and filling. A low key, informal, pick-up-your-order-at-the-counter experience. Just what we wanted.

Every trip to Brattleboro has to include a stop to Amy's. Everything is fresh, bread is good. Teats are always tasty and price is very reasonable.

Roast chicken with bacon, lettuce, tomato on sourdough bread...just so, so good. Another favorite is the dill chicken salad. Sit at a table out back and enjoy a view of the river and mountain. Our only disappointment is the increased prices. Seems a short time ago this same sandwich was $2 less than now.

The BLT at Amy's is to die for, home-made sour dough lightly toasted with avocado, local bacon and tomatoes. You will not want to share. Soups are made daily and if you are gluten free or vegetarian the menu is geared to you. Try the chai tea and a homemade pastry for a special treat. There is a day old... More

The maple lattes here are incredible to complete a decadent pastry breakfast. The croissants-all kinds- are unbelievable. Love the spacious sitting area in the back overlooking the river, where you can also watch all the breads come straight out of the oven. Great little fun place for breakfast!
