We're regulars at The New England House, which is always wonderful, but International Night on Thursdays is extra special. Chef Kurt Johnson brings his experience working in many countries around the globe to our corner of Vermont for these nights. This week we feasted with...More

We went out for an anniversary dinner on a Sunday night. Not many patrons at the restarant, service was slow. Food was good, but not hot. We both felt like it had been sitting for a while. Kind of pricey for the service.

Visiting this area for the first time and asked for recommendations; guess who everyone was talking about? So, we gave it a try. Amazing clam chowder (quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, including my spin thru the Maritimes last year!) Service was prompt and...More

An unexpected delight!! We had a salad with home made blue cheese salad dressing and ribeye. I would buy the salad dressing by the gallon if it was for sale. We finished with the cream puffs. Totally worth going off low carb for the evening!

This place isn’t bad, but it’s definitely not great either. I’ve gone several times and something is always a little off. I live right down the street and I only go maybe once a year.

The New England House is unlike anything in this area. The eclectic international menu has something for everyone. Chef Kurt prepares new and different specials every night. Thursday is theme night focusing on a specific country or culture. We have eaten here several times over...More

First I want to say to folks who wrote reviews in 2014 and 2015 that you ought to come back and try the revived New England House. New owners Kurt and Selma have made it a vibrant and welcoming place, and the food never disappoints...More
