Drive on past. It's not worth the stop. There were only two other tables in the entire restaurant , but it still took almost an hour to get a burger and a cup of chowder ! The chowder was homemade , but was so full...of sand, I couldn't eat it. It cost eighteen dollars , and we still had to find somthing to eat once we left. I must say the wait tress was friendly thoughMore

We had a small party of 10 that was nicely accommodated by the wait staff. The food was average. My Cesar salad was simple and the clam chowder was a average. The mussels looked great and satisfied my niece nicely. A longstanding eatery of the...area that my nieces dined at with their father over the years met our needs.More

Had dinner here mid-week, while travelling on business. The food was quite acceptable, prices decent, and the service was prompt and friendly. Ambience was also nice. Would recommend, and will try it again when I'm in that area again.

Two of my sons arranged a special birthday dinner for me on Friday, 1/10/20, at this lovely restaurant. There were 8 of us and our waitress was attentive and on the spot. We all had something different, including my 8-year-old granddaughter, and all the meals...were excellent. Except for my oldest son and his fiancee, none of us had been there before but we all can't wait to go back! My Elizabeth is still talking about the chocolate mousse she had for dessert!! Thank you for a very special night!More

A group of us stopped off after the ample pie festival. We had a group of about 12 and called ahead. Good service, separate checks were not a problem and the food was good too.

The atmosphere is straight out of the 60's and 70's with a few updates. The food was ok, the service was fine. Everything was fine. I think the menu may be overpriced by $3-$5 for the entrees and apps.

I made a reservation for 8-10 people 5 days in advance for my husband's retirement dinner and went there on Saturday morning to request seating conducive for conversation-no table of any kind was set up for us when we arrived at 5:30. That was the...beginning of a disastrous evening. Our waitress was harried and inattentive-we had to go get her to come back to our table to get service and to bring the bill, the food was certainly not worth the money-$18 cold steak tips, overdone $26 rib eye - asked for medium rare and got medium well, inedible tavern burger - so gray and hard could not eat it. $22 scallops that were overcooked -dark brown and tough, and tasteless $18 rock crab cakes, etc. Only one dinner out of 10 was good! Our bill was over $250.00! Needless to say - cannot recommend or nor will we ever go back! Three generations of family lost to their business!More

Went to celebrate my father’s retirement...rude hostess, painstakingly slow service, snippy server, lukewarm mediocre (at best) food. Sent burger back as it was ordered medium and came out well done. Steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium-well. Crab cakes were all cake and...little crab; aioli was inedible. Mashed potatoes were a solid lump of flavorless glue. Highly disappointed. Will not return.More

My parents thoroughly enjoyed their 65th wedding anniversary dinner at The New England House in June. My father sincerely appreciated the extra effort Kurt (both owner and chef) made to create the maple bacon wrapped sea scallops for him and my mother. In fact, we...all enjoyed our meals tremendously. Everything was perfect! Hanna was a very attentive waitress which made the whole dining experience memorable indeed. It was nice meeting, Selma, who I had spoken to on the phone upon her return from Turkey. She helped to take our group picture upon our departure last night which made the evening complete!More
