I eat out a lot and have had good and not so good servers, but the young man (Christopher #376) who waited my table is the kind one gets at the Culinary Institute of America or any fine restaurant. He set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The grass fed burger with cheddar cheese was one of the best... More

What an eclectic mix of delectable food, wine, desserts, gifts and everything French, go to Cafe Provence. The quiche is mouth watering, and how can one pick just one dessert with this assortment? Lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff makes this a place I must stop at.

The French Chef also has a culinary school in conjunction with the restaurant. The restaurant is casual, no white table clothes or napkins. It has an open kitchen and if you sit at the bar, you can watch the Chef and the Sous preparing the meals. Also has a brick oven and many people come here for the highly regarded... More

Our group of 6 recently had lunch here on a Sunday. The menu is varied and interesting and on this day included both traditional lunch and traditional breakfast/brunch options. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the food was all excellent, and the prices were reasonable. They have lots of tables both inside and outside (with shade). I would definitely... More

We enjoyed lunch at Cafe Provence twice during our annual stay at northern Lake George. One day we had the half panini/salad/soup option with the panini of the day--enjoyed the homemade New England style clam chowder. The other day had the full panini with fries, which were also very good. Both were great and we enjoyed sitting on their patio--comfortable... More

Cafe Provence has long been one of my favorite restaurants. I gave it a glowing review back in February, 2016. We live an hour away and often just take a ride to specifically have lunch there. But something is going wrong over the past few months. In March, my husband and I returned for lunch. Chef Robert was not around... More

Stopped in with my family on a drive through Vermont. Nice restaurant layout with open kitchen. Reasonable prices for the lunch items ($10 to $13). Very long wait for the food (>60 minutes). The food was very good when it arrived. It seems another hand or two in the kitchen would speed things up a bit. If you have a... More

We have been to this Cafet, many times, and have brought friends. It is 1 hour from our home in Vermont and we took a nice ride looking forward to a wonderful lunch. We were the third table and only two people. Water was served, we looked at the Menu and decided. There were two waitress's, a Hostess, Chef, salad... More

The menu is limited and prices are high. We waited almost 2 hours for are meal with a party of 5. My brother order the roasted chicken for about $23.00. When we finally received the chicken was very dry. He contracted the server who then had him speak to the so call chef. He explained how it was cooked and... More
