We have been to this Cafet, many times, and have brought friends. It is 1 hour from our home in Vermont and we took a nice ride looking forward to a wonderful lunch. We were the third table and only two people. Water was served, we looked at the Menu and decided. There were two waitress's, a Hostess, Chef, salad... More

The menu is limited and prices are high. We waited almost 2 hours for are meal with a party of 5. My brother order the roasted chicken for about $23.00. When we finally received the chicken was very dry. He contracted the server who then had him speak to the so call chef. He explained how it was cooked and... More

We have been coming to Café Provence for many years now. We never miss a visit. The food is consistently excellent! the wine divine and the staff always professional and friendly. Chef Robert does a great job - highly recommend.

The food was excellent. The fish specials (cod, salmon with lobster polenta) were beautifully presented and delicious, as were the salads. But the service was awful, and the ambiance (pop Muzack) in the resto don't jive with the quality of the food. Service was very inattentive and no one seem to notice when we waited 45 minutes to get our... More

Staying at middlebury tonight, had planned on trying out this French bistro for dinner. Portions are big, service friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to dietary restrictions, and bread served hot. For gf, got cheese crisps. My vegetarian friend said her barley risotto wrapped in phyllo dough was the best vegetarian main course she has had in the states.

Successful mix between french and american cuisine. Everything is good, from grilled tuckey BLT to moules marinières an include burger. Very good service. Cozy place and good jazz music. Probably one of the best place to dine in all United States.

We stopped by for lunch, and the seafood was magnificent, the truffle butter outstanding, and the bitter chocolate on the dessert sampler plate was memorable. Comfortable and almost in a class by itself - I don't say this lightly...I think that this lunch was in the top five restaurant meals that I have ever had in Vermont!

We were recommended to this restaurant from where we were staying. We arrived latish, but the kitchen was still open. We had a delicious glass of Rose while we waited for our meals. Definitely one of the best meals we had during our month travelling in the US. Portions very large, even the waitress agreed with that! That said, the... More

Our family went for Mother's Day Brunch. There was not one food item (well, except for the odd addition of pizza, which was pretty good, but not excellent) that was not less than excellent - even a seafood pasta salad was served al dente. Service was pleasant, professional and quick) Only negative was the choice of teas - for such... More
