I stop every year at the Bennington Museum to see the Dear Jane quilt with my bus group sew great tours. This year, we were there for lunch and The Elm Street Market brought our box lunch. There were so many choices and they all...sounded good. I gave my group the whole list...and when Elm Street Market dropped off the sandwiches (48!) they had everyone's name on it! so easy to hand out. they were all wonderful. I highly recommend!More
Driving through town, we decided to go out of our way try ESM. It was worth finding it! The sandwiches were fantastic. We shared The Wrestler and a London Broil. The daily chowder was also excellent, as was the coleslaw. We sat outside at a...picnic table with our dogs and enjoyed a delicious break from the car. We also got the Battenkill Brittle for a snack down the road and it was excellent!More
Just had this yesterday for the first time and it won't be the last. The employees were very friendly and we were there at lunch time on a Saturday. We were able to order right away and our sandwiches were done within 10 minutes. Wonderful...service and very fresh ingredients. Can't beat it! They also have great coffee.More

The sandwiches and soups at ESM are WONDERFUL! FANTASTIC! I highly recommend these! The people are always friendly and the place is always clean! Great daily specials! Chef salad: Great greens, red/green peppers and honey maple ham... BUT tomatoes were sliced paper paper thin and...only a couple of transparent slices - same with onion (thank goodness because I requested no onion - though hard to take out tiny little slices onions), a few cukes, and hardly any Swiss cheese. I'll stick to the fantastic sandwiches. If you do get a salad, ask for extra dressing.More
Creative sandwiches and salads with a nice variety of fresh healthy ingredients. I wish there was a way to get a glass of water with your meal though.
Lots of choices and very accommodating of dietary restrictions. I had the Ultimate Grilled Ham and Cheese but with panini; my wife had the Mount Antonio. Both were good - not great, but very good. Quick and very friendly service.

I got the Mapelicious sandwich and it was really good! The apples on the sandwich were a neat touch. I got this to go and ate it a few hours later at work so obviously it wasn't as good but I would definitely order it...again! ESM is a cute little building with a grocery section as well. There was seating outside as well that I didn't take advantage of.More

I went here for the first time a few weeks back and I keep going back when I'm in town. Their sandwiches are so large and so delicious! I order the "Mayor Mark" it's a turkey sandwich with so many yummy flavors and Boars Head...Meat!! They have a lot of drinks and snacks to go along with it. They even have large homemade cookies which are yummy too. The prices are a little high but it's so worth the price! Parking is a little hard with mostly street parking and only two off street spots that I noticed. So worth checking this place out! They have some indoor seating and outdoor seating.More
I can tell you that one sandwich for lunch wil cause you to have a late dinner. The sandwiches and bread are both fresh. There is plenty of food and it is really, really good.
